Wow... Welcome to the obvious. - tetro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This doesn't seem like a hard policy to follow. 1 extra week is a pretty extended amount of time. If you plan on leaving town or are so busy you can't return your movies 7 days from their due date (which is either 2or7 days from original rental date), then the person shouldn't rent at all. The policy pamphlets are all over the store. If someone's dumb enough to not take to the time to read the details, then they're pretty stupid.
- smackjack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0whats the point of getting the movie or game pass with this policy?
- andrew_m, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like my local video place late-fee policy. As long as you have it back by opening the next day after the due date, no late fee. And if you get a late-fee they don't make you pay it the next time you come in. One time my mom ran up a $40 late-fee, she went in a year later and they said "oh that one is old, forget about it".
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I used to work at a blockbuster (quit about 2 weeks ago) and this whole contraversy is just caused by stupid customers. Every blockbuster employee was told to clearly outline the "no late fees" policy. Pretty much, that's true, there are no late fees, but we will charge your credit card for the movie if you don't turn it in within 7 days. That's the kicker, folks
- stargirl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well if you think of it this way you can rent a game keep it for say 3 months play it to death return it and only be charged an extra $1.25 thats a pretty good deal. ya I know they charge the full price of it but you get that back.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0a second comment, sorry. Abaddon is right, even though he has the worst spelling i've ever seen. Employees are not given the luxury of being able to have their movies or games out for the extended period of time. Employees will get fired if they ever have more than three movies late. Never work for blockbuster. They love their customers, maybe, but they treat their employees like trash
- ashembers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My wife calls this the "rent to own plan" :-)
- isolino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I rent my movies from Blockbuster.com and love it. $16 a month for 3 movies out at a time. We usually watch about a dozen movies a month which would cost about $50 dollars at the store and I don't have to go there and look for half an hour and not find the ones I want.
- abaddon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0i use to work at a blockbuster and this program is good but it has major holes in it, it is ture they charge you full pice after a week late but if you retren it you get your money back -1.25 you have to pay, it not relly that bad, i quit the beauce to get these deal to you mean the empolys have to get the short end of the stick, mean you get no late fee if you late, empoly get written up which is pure bs welll i done rambleing
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I am paying for completed offers, the Home123 doesnt even require a credit card at all.
