- Shiftgood, on 07/28/2008, -1/+117That's EXACTLY how i look when i fly a heli in BF2.. only when i do it, its not on purpose... and there is lots more fire... which i think... is more exciting.
- Evi1d33d, on 07/28/2008, -6/+73Do a barrel roll!
- smokyjoewood12, on 07/28/2008, -2/+66I cant even do that in gta!
- daeyeth, on 07/28/2008, -2/+58man that looks scary. one wrong move and you're in a deep *****, there ain't no eject button here
- cheungroys, on 07/28/2008, -27/+82this is a bit off topic, but does anyone find http://thepiratebay.org dead? using comcast.
If you can connect to it, burry me, if not, digg me. - Feep, on 07/28/2008, -1/+48No one I know has died attempting a helicopter backflip.
True story. - Alex2, on 07/28/2008, -4/+49Dupe.
AirWolf did back flips. - rnawky, on 07/28/2008, -0/+36Actually when you eject in a helicopter it detaches the blades so they shoot off and then it shoots you out like normal.
- huff51, on 07/28/2008, -0/+26i pray to god i am missing your sarcasm
/because thats how helicopter ejection seats work. - dylio, on 07/28/2008, -6/+22Man this *****. Flips doing back helicopters died from two of my friends.
- cdigioia, on 07/28/2008, -0/+14To second - that actually IS how helicopter ejection seats operate.
- cubbiesx, on 07/28/2008, -2/+16The Polish version has the ejection seat available.
- JayD16, on 07/28/2008, -0/+13That's ok because Red Bull gives you wings...
- wilsgrant, on 07/28/2008, -1/+13This is not true. The pitch of the rotors invert, so there is still upward thrust even while upside down. This is called collective pitch. Look it up.
It is also how RC helicopters are flown upside down :). - skyshock1, on 07/28/2008, -2/+13Yeah, he did a barrel roll!
- tocsy, on 07/28/2008, -0/+10Wait, so what I saw in Goldeneye is ACTUALLY how they do it?
- smacksaw, on 07/28/2008, -0/+9Exactly. Airwolf and Blue Thunder would have whooped that copter's ass, even with 1980's technology and Jan Michael Vincent high on painkillers and cocaine.
- shoover, on 07/28/2008, -1/+10Dead, using shaw in Canada... Not a good sign.
- specialK16, on 07/28/2008, -0/+9Hell yeah, he did a barrel roll and it was LEGEN- wait for it...
- wc3452, on 07/28/2008, -0/+9Just pray it isn't the day you decide to fly a helicopter
- RajDhillon, on 07/28/2008, -1/+8What's up with all these horrible ***** comments?
- dpknc84, on 07/28/2008, -0/+7No, no you didn't.
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -2/+9I bet that thing is pulling some serious G's.
- Strokemouth, on 07/28/2008, -1/+8It gives you wings!
- Herrohkitteh, on 07/28/2008, -5/+12It's one thing to see a fixed wing aircraft do manuevers like that but it's totally different to see it in a helicopter.. Anyone crazy enough to try that deserves some kind of respect, even if it's the twisted "Dude, you're crazier than me!" kind. Inverted flight in a helicopter is similiar to flight in a tradition aircraft - going straight down - Not only are you falling, you're falling at an accelerated rate from the force of the rotors, pretty well offsetting your terminal velocity. I think most people would panic and end up in a stalled free fall but that guy manages to keep his nerve clear through. Insanity at its finest!
- Vodd9, on 07/28/2008, -0/+6Press Z twice
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -0/+6Totally awesome. Airwolf and Blue Thunder. Nice work. I am old. Stringfellow Hawke..lol.
- newl, on 07/28/2008, -1/+6Good to see he was in idle up. Imagine the size of the pitch gauge used to trim that sucker. ;D
- diggystardust, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5yeah i bet that pilot is having a freaking blast while the co-pilot is yelling "what the f***! what the f*** are you doing?!"
- viserov, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5Enemy boat spotted.
- cheungroys, on 07/28/2008, -1/+6It's all right now... no one panic!
- Speed, on 07/28/2008, -1/+6DARY!
- trylleklovn, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5Dunno, but it certainly does blend
- iamtehwinnerz, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4They're just doing upgrades.
- Mmedia, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Awesome, that guy has some balls!
- EtherGnat, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4There's only one pilot who could have pulled this maneuver off: Stringfellow Hawke.
- diggystardust, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5Seriously you guys, Russian Kamov Ka-50's and Ka-52's do that. but that's about it.
they look like this:
http://www.aviastar.org/maks/ka-50.jpg
any other helicopter you're kissing your ass goodbye.
/I found this out after a little research, so I'm sorry my knowledge of Russian gunships wasn't as up to speed as yours.
//oh and back to the point, the redbull chopper doesn't have these, so the pilots are most definitely screwed if there's a problem. - waluigi14, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5Try a summersault!
- Herrohkitteh, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5Ah! I knew there was something off in my thinking, now I know what.
Some days my understanding of flight mechanics fails me. - Zippo, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Use the boost to get through!!
- jazduck, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4Most people tend to overestimate the G forces involved in aerobatics. For example doing loops in a little Cessna 152 I fly the typical force is around 3G coming out of the bottom of the loop.
Now there are much faster and more acrobatic planes than the C152, and they can easily pull more than that, but I think most people would be surprised at what 3G's actually feels like. Amazing stuff tho, heli acrobatics, where do i sign up! - xDynaBlade, on 07/28/2008, -2/+5Dead. I have the Comcast.
- JLobes, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3Back for me, CableVision/Optimum New Jersey
- DBoone, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3This pilot is better (same helicopter):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNWCSE9BaW0 - da_bradler, on 07/28/2008, -1/+4Dead using MTS in manitoba. lol it's funny how I assumed and apparently everybody else assumes that it's our ISPs blocking it.
Good to hear it's down for everybody. hopefully just regular Dos attacks or something and not more Swedish police action. - SLockhart, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3There are ejection systems for helicopters.
- FasmTrout, on 07/28/2008, -3/+6C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!!!!!!
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3Yeah, they're all over the place. Problem is, they always hire some dumb broads to drive around for no apparent reason. They won't even give you free samples, it's bizarre.
- keithnoir, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3If redbull was cheaper i would drink it like water...(then hijack a copper and do that)
