- divinediva, on 02/24/2009, -6/+56Next stop ... Windows ME for the iPhone!
- inactive, on 02/24/2009, -1/+50Fun drinking game:
Down a shot every time somebody mentions "iPhone" in the comments.
Go go go!
(This game is also fun to play when reading an article about a phone other than the iPhone.) - Boagrius, on 02/24/2009, -4/+42Skip Blog Spam:

Where is Ctrl+Alt+Delete? - absurdist, on 02/24/2009, -0/+28Because he can. Does a true geek need any more reason?
- jasdf, on 02/24/2009, -1/+27The thing that caught my attention is how little MSPaint, Calculator, and Sound Recorder have changed.
- kouzu, on 02/24/2009, -0/+17Actually, Microsoft released IE versions through 5.0 on Windows 3.1, including a TCP/IP stack and Microsoft Internet Mail and News, all of which mirrored the Windows 95 counterparts.

Also, iPhone. - offon, on 02/24/2009, -6/+19Who thought at this 10 or 15 years ago ?
- jasdf, on 02/24/2009, -0/+12You must not be a true geek, back in the day Digg was........
- Manuelmty, on 02/24/2009, -7/+19Awesome, But ... why?
- beesaretasty, on 02/24/2009, -2/+14Next stop: Windows Vista on a 3 year old computer...
- h3xZ, on 02/24/2009, -1/+12que?
- lothar250, on 02/24/2009, -1/+12Why do Russians always steal two cars when in Europe?
Because they have to drive through Poland - obliviousfool, on 02/24/2009, -0/+11That would be Polish.
- ChronicColonic, on 02/24/2009, -1/+11Now if I can only get this to work on my Sega Game Gear...
- TylerDuhrdan, on 02/24/2009, -2/+11I thought that was called Windows mobile 6?
- ozziek, on 02/24/2009, -1/+10cool, how completely and utterly pointless!
- Doomsan, on 02/24/2009, -0/+9I'd rather 3.11
- dojocasino, on 02/24/2009, -0/+9In what can only be called "a waste of time born out of curiosity", I installed Microsoft Windows 3.1 on a HTC Wizard. Like three frigging years ago.
- deviantsteve, on 02/24/2009, -0/+8Windows 3.11 for workgroups bitches
- specialK16, on 02/24/2009, -0/+8wut?
- TheUngod, on 02/24/2009, -1/+8and yet Windows 3.1 STILL runs more games
- Nickolassc, on 02/24/2009, -0/+7Windows 3.11 here. Those workgroups are downright scandalous
- inactive, on 02/24/2009, -0/+6If Obama ever gets an iPhone, Digg is *****...
- NicoNicoNico, on 02/24/2009, -0/+6Why would you want to put it on a Nokia N95? It's the same concept.
If you don't see what I'm getting at: it's fun, it's cool. So nyah. - TheSpook, on 02/24/2009, -3/+8Trumpet Winsock FTW. NOT.
- daschupa, on 02/24/2009, -0/+5Why would you want to see a bunch of people with alcohol poisoning?
- inactive, on 02/24/2009, -1/+6The MSPaint for Windows 7 is much better, but its still no Photoshop. If Microsoft gets sued for bundling IE in their OS, and the EU is still on their ass for "bundling." If Paintbrush had any more features, they'd probably be sued for that.
- rusty_g, on 02/24/2009, -0/+5BECAUSE HE CAN!!!!!!!! I am going with the tru geekness above!!
- josejimenez, on 02/24/2009, -0/+5LOL @ "Ageing operating system"
We continue to use Win3.1 WFW on our voicemail because the version of Borland Paradox that it uses craps out on CPUs faster than PI 60Mhz and the drivers for the voicemail cards will not work with WinNT/2K/XP based systems. - insomniac8400, on 02/24/2009, -5/+9It's not blog spam when the original is in some kind of undecipherable ancient code.
- inactive, on 02/24/2009, -1/+5Windows 3.1 turns me on
- A11YND, on 02/24/2009, -1/+5actually, IE does work on Win 3.11.
Sad thing is: You're getting dugg up for your ignorance. - lutiana, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4I have a Windows Mobile 6 based phone, and using DOSBox I was able to run a host of older games like King's quest. Also SCUMMVM has a Windows Mobile version, so the old Lucas Arts titles run great on my as well.
So I am sure you could get Bard's Tale running on a cell phone. - ogletree, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4It would be cool you could play Bards Tale on your cell phone.
- lutiana, on 02/24/2009, -1/+5He is using emulation software, so as cool as it is it is no more impressive than installing windows 3.1 on a 486. Still it had me wondering if I could do it on my phone (HTC 6800)
- diggduggjoe, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4My Win 3.11 virtual machine has IE.
- drgmdp, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4it is blogspam when the submitted says nothing that can't be understood looking at the pictures...
- Asrrin29, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4yeah, really, DOSBox has been out since forever on any Windows Mobile capable phone. I have it running under my AT&T Tilt so I can play Master of Orion, Eye of the Beholder, and it can even boot Win95 if I felt like wasting the time.
- BlueCadenza, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4Yeah. And with all these people always mentioning jailbreaking...I'll laugh at them when PapaApple gets them fined two grand for doing it.
The fact that it has to be jailbroken to even be enjoyed means its full of suck. I don't want to voluntarily step into a jail cell just because everyone else is doing it. - XkenX87, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4and PSP
- scootinger, on 02/24/2009, -4/+8Now I want to see an iGodJesusPhone do the same thing!
Oh wait...it won't happen, at least not until Apple allows "non-kosher" apps to be used on the phone. - smacksaw, on 02/24/2009, -1/+5<insert Polish joke here>
- XkenX87, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4huh?
- Goochman, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4Running MAME would be much cooler.
Did Minesweeper work? Best thing to come out of Win 3.1 - carterx, on 02/24/2009, -1/+4Direct link tom images:
