- kru1e, on 02/22/2008, -0/+122I'm going to install this on my Phone and use it with my laptop from 5 inches away on a plane, just to be obnoxious
- inactive, on 02/22/2008, -1/+65i think im just going to use my iPhone to control other people's brains

- CharlesSaint, on 02/22/2008, -0/+20An excellent app for when my lazy ass doesn't want to get up off the bed to change the music.
- perkonis, on 02/22/2008, -1/+19I thought that was what Apple was doing with them all along.
- secondplayer, on 02/22/2008, -0/+15No, it only works with Windows 98; didn't you see the video?
- plbland, on 02/22/2008, -3/+14Pussy
- Hilton, on 02/22/2008, -2/+13Superb App.
- inactive, on 02/22/2008, -0/+10if you can't jailbreak your iPhone or iPod touch you must be retarded. Cant say that I've bricked
Mine - jakbrud, on 02/22/2008, -0/+10And apple wonders why people want to jailbreak the iphone.......................................
- jackyyll, on 02/23/2008, -0/+9replied using firefox, and a keyboard.
- noahhoward, on 02/22/2008, -1/+9Engadget does nothing but repost other peoples articles. This digg is the way it should be, the source is posted and the bloggers are buried.
- MattJF317, on 02/22/2008, -3/+11Mac?
- Shiftgood, on 02/22/2008, -0/+8there are a lot of dumb comments on digg..... i mean a lot.
but you sir... you... there is something about your thought process that just rips a hole in logic and reason that just...
wow. - t3soro, on 02/22/2008, -0/+7this is what we invented the remote control for.
- nightmare1228, on 02/22/2008, -5/+12Pretty pointless, but hell, I'll try it anyway.
- drastik21, on 02/22/2008, -0/+6Support flash, at least not now.
- nullcodes, on 02/22/2008, -0/+6This is cool and awesome. One slight thing I thought I saw is that it needs a better driver algorithm (is that part of VNSea ?). It should work more like a mouse ... when you move your finger slowly the pointer cursor should move 1:1, but when you move your fingers fast the pointer should move faster (1:X or something?)
- thejitters, on 02/22/2008, -4/+10Just tried it out, pretty neat but somewhat pointless (no pun intended).
- themarq, on 02/22/2008, -0/+6Pointless..? I think not, if this works as advertised I will no longer need a wireless keyboard and mouse for my PC-DVR.
- Echomote, on 02/23/2008, -0/+6but you can't use wifi in airplane mode!
- toasterweasel, on 02/22/2008, -2/+7Buried...spam..
- darlyn, on 02/22/2008, -1/+6No pun was recognized ...
- noahhoward, on 02/22/2008, -1/+6But remotes are fugly.
- noahhoward, on 02/22/2008, -1/+5Don't forget weather.app
- spongerdan, on 02/23/2008, -0/+4replied using the app!
- estat, on 02/22/2008, -1/+5Godly for HTPC users
- Mossa, on 02/22/2008, -0/+4I could always kill you with my brain!
- Frankli, on 02/23/2008, -0/+4Indeed not pointless. Nightmare has a short-sighted view. I agree more with themarq. This is the perfect app if you have a media PC connected to your TV that you want to control without having to shell out money for a wireless keyboard and mouse (or have cords going all throughout your room.
- technoholic, on 02/22/2008, -0/+4wake up
- Ozzeh, on 02/23/2008, -0/+4copy and paste?
- dagamer34, on 02/22/2008, -0/+4Or just create a remote iTunes app on the iPhone? less work, prettier interface.
- SuperSunny, on 02/22/2008, -1/+4omg hacking source codes lawl. they are open...
- inactive, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3I say use it as a hockey puck.
- phatvolvo, on 02/23/2008, -1/+4right click.
- philippbock, on 02/22/2008, -1/+4Wouldn’t it be cool if someone made an app that enables us to listen to music right on the iPhone?
- Radan, on 02/22/2008, -0/+3Installer.app, that way --->
- EllimistX, on 02/22/2008, -0/+3Whoever wrote this app needs to add two finger scrolling like on actual Mac laptops....it's a whole lot easier and doesn't restrict you to the right side of the pad (or in this case, iPhone/iPod).
- enclaved, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3What the hell are you talking about?
- EelfinnTy, on 02/22/2008, -0/+3Install VNsea on your iPhone or touch and enable Apple Remote Desktop in the Sharing option in the System Preferences. Type ip address and the password you set up into VNsea, and enjoy! The refresh rate on the iPhone/Touch is slow but it works.
- therealgeddylee, on 02/22/2008, -0/+3Honestly, there is nothing new or revolutionary about this. This was available months ago the first time the phone was jailbroken, and the VNSea app came out. The only difference is that instead of their being an image of your desktop to control it with, the screen is just black so it 'acts like a touchpad'. It's just a VNC server.
- browny1978, on 02/22/2008, -1/+4anyone who is scared ot jailbreak - www.ziphone.org
100% safe, no downgrading firmware etc, run the program choose what you want then viola, works flawlessly on 1.1.3 - Ploosheeta, on 02/22/2008, -0/+3I prefer to use my computer's touchpad as a touchpad to control my computer.
- freudianslipper, on 02/22/2008, -0/+2Or you can use the iphone remote and control it anywhere in your home.
http://code.google.com/p/telekinesis/
I even have my home network accessible remotely! - ArmandoM, on 02/22/2008, -0/+2Wait...isn't that what we do with every single digg post too?
- Radan, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2Sadly enough, Apple decided not to include any, or at most very limited Bluetooth tools with the iPhone. For me, that is the biggest flaw with the iPhone (well, except for the fact that it doesn't even freakin' exist in Sweden yet). Though, there are a number of web apps that can go through this flaw by simply setting up a local webserver on the computer you want to controll, and then simply typing in the computer's IP adress on the iPhone. Though, when this works, it actually works pretty well, but the problem is that because of how the iPhone handles its internet access, you can't simply create a computer to computer network. You need a network hub and internet access for this to work, so it is still pretty messy compared to how most other phones work. (though, I don't know if this app works better as it is a native application instead of a normal web app, I'm gonna try it out later, hopefully it will work better)
- PabloIV, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2Well actually... I've got a PC setup through a big screen TV to watch all the video stuff I get online. I'm using a Bluetooth Mouse right now to navigate through it all but this would be a really cool replacement. Obviously I was going to get an iPhone anyways just not available in Puerto Rico yet.
- fichek, on 02/22/2008, -0/+2Good luck trying to draw something with it.
And just because you're too limited to see the benefits of it doesn't mean it's useless. - phatvolvo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2modded both of you up, replied, AND dugg using the app!
