- mavere, on 10/29/2008, -0/+58I'm not sure why no. 5 is on that list. You only use either the stop or the reload button, never both at the same time. Combining the two just seems like smart minimalist design.
And yea, I just installed it. - lokoluis15, on 10/29/2008, -2/+49Hey now, having a unified stop and reload button is awesome, definitely saves space for people who like minimalist UIs.
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -0/+43I just added STOP! Hammertime!
- davengineer, on 10/28/2008, -0/+29he liked to put his butt on things
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -3/+32I don use any of these 10 addons.
- Tychee, on 10/28/2008, -4/+31The calculator must be the worst one, I like the last sentence about it: "And what websites are making you do sums?" Good point :)
- ElBeh, on 10/29/2008, -0/+23Smart Stop/Reload isn't a bad idea at all. I used it awhile ago, but it was buggy and the dev never updated it, meh. For those who like to save space by merging the Stop and Reload buttons, you can use another addon named "Stop-or-Reload Button." I honestly don't know why the buttons aren't merged by default
- ScottMcIntyre, on 10/28/2008, -3/+23Sadly, I've never even heard of Canadian comedian and tv personality Tom Green- let alone wanting to download him broadcasting live on my Firefox browser... I'm sure he's popular in Canada though.
- FatLoser, on 10/29/2008, -0/+19maybe it's an intelligence test rather than a captcha...
- OneLess, on 10/29/2008, -1/+19Buried as inaccurate. No Firefox extension that lets me call the browser Hypnotoad can be called lame.
- cyrix, on 10/29/2008, -0/+16My bum is on the SWEDISH!
- zulfy26, on 10/29/2008, -0/+15I guess we've seen the 10 best firefox addons enough times that now its the 10 lamest.
- wukillabee, on 10/29/2008, -0/+13wheres the rick roll one
- scoottie, on 10/29/2008, -1/+14trust me never hearing about tom green is a good thing
- Sokkratez, on 10/29/2008, -1/+12His internet show is actually pretty fun. This list of lame things is lame.
- AmyVernon, on 10/28/2008, -1/+11*was* popular in Canada is more like it.
- GamingForever, on 10/28/2008, -0/+9Never used any of them.
Why would you need another calculator since we already have one. - TrendyTim, on 10/29/2008, -0/+9I have used a stop/refresh button combiner for years, its one of my favorite addons.
And if you want to Reload because its seemed to have hung, you just click once to stop and again to reload, it makes room for more clutter i add to the tool bar. - LurkingOnDigg, on 10/29/2008, -1/+10The first one, Firesomething, is actually useful sometimes. Like if you run Debian Linux and you hate that your Firefox is called IceWeasel or BearHugger or DickMuncher, etc.. and you want it to just be Firefox. Install this plugin and remove every silly entry and just leave "fire" and "fox".
- adiyo011, on 10/29/2008, -1/+9We're trying our best to keep him inside the cage. Did he escape?
- Garofoli, on 10/29/2008, -3/+11Good for you. Your not lame!
- AmyVernon, on 10/28/2008, -3/+11Nos. 4 and 9 are definitely the lamest. 10 is useless, but still kinda cool.
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -3/+10dugg for MC Chris
- Archer007, on 10/29/2008, -0/+7Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 DickMuncher/3.0.3
...lol - simoncallesen, on 10/29/2008, -1/+8Start -> Run -> "calc"
Even easier in Vista. - jjpertusch, on 10/29/2008, -0/+6what about that plugin that added a bar with google ads? that one was purposefully created to be useless.
- justok, on 10/29/2008, -0/+6most of him. he left one of his testicles behind.
- Zachariah, on 10/29/2008, -0/+6It's great for Firefox Portable when you change the icon to IE's blue E, and change the name to Internet Explorer, so anyone looking over your shoulder doesn't realize you're breaking the AUP at your job by using a better browser.
- LurkingOnDigg, on 10/29/2008, -1/+7For somebody that lives on the computer and is mostly using Firefox, I sometimes find myself annoyed at having to go hunting for the calculator in the Start->Programs->Applications menu. Might be easier to just click a button to popup your calc in firefox. Could also be good for people that play online poker, to keep a card count, or perhaps people with obsessive compulsive disorder that need to add together all the numbers on all websites they visit. Could happen.
- Joe857, on 10/29/2008, -2/+7Traduku is awesome for people learning esperanto, like me. Just saying.
- FatLoser, on 10/29/2008, -6/+11somebody needs to make an instantrimjob firefox addon... son of a bitch if I wouldn't be clicking that all the time there's a zing http://instantrimshot.com
(bait) - scoottie, on 10/29/2008, -0/+5no i'd have to go with the tom green add-on. he was funny for about 10 seconds when he was popular and then he just needed to climb in a hole and disappear
- lutiana, on 10/29/2008, -0/+5Ok, the Stop! addons are GREAT for april fools jokes. I can just see my boss trying to work out why everytime he hits stop he hears those songs. It would be awesome.
But other than that I agree these are lame and useless... - bedlam, on 10/29/2008, -0/+5Windows key + R -> calc -> enter
- Apocalyptic0n3, on 10/29/2008, -0/+5Yeah... I combine my stop and reload buttons. It works better that way.
- KaiserNickolas, on 10/29/2008, -1/+6Buried because Stop/Reload is the *****.
- Dermah, on 10/29/2008, -1/+5Bahaha rimjob.
- simonsez21, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4I hate to say it, but after reading this article I downloaded one of the addons....
- Philoushka, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4oh, you have never heard of "Freddy Got Fingered"?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0240515/
lucky you! - isny, on 10/29/2008, -1/+5Me either! *whew* I thought I was lame.
- gusto, on 10/28/2008, -1/+5Don't some sites use sums as captchas instead of letters? I remember getting a blank moment when presented with one once.
- Zetal, on 10/29/2008, -1/+5Number three sounds sooo amazing! I want to know what the ambiguous national security threat is second by second!
This is definitely better than top 10. - inactive, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4Google's drunk e-mail does you stupid ***** article GOD you make me so MAD.
- runtimmyc, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4I don't think I've used the stop button in about 8 years.
- Raz4Life, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4That's how it is in Safari.
- PoetofShadows, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4Because of the way the Microsoft bundles IE into its operating system, some people just don't understand that there a different web browsers, and therefore stick with the default.
And that is why Firefox has less that 15% of the market share. - Claverhouse, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4There are a number of reasons why non-bundled browsers have less share than the most used, ranging from the timidity of users who find thinking makes their heads hurt, to the inertia of the stupid, to the natural lack of taste of the weakminded; however, Firefox has at least 20%, and in countries outside the conformist USA, 30% rising to around 50% in Germany and bordering countries eastwards.
I would never disrespect Internet Explorer or it's users; browsers are made to match users, so each has it's place. IE is a very special browser. For more discerning people, Firefox is an better browser. - xyqxyq, on 10/29/2008, -0/+4Thank you. I will now form a plan to install this on a friend's PC and remove all entries except "DickMuncher."
- smartnerd666, on 10/29/2008, -2/+6I considered installing #5 "Smart Stop/Reload", then I remembered that having separate Stop and Reload buttons right next to each other isn't a pain.
- Shruthi99, on 10/29/2008, -1/+4okay, firesomething was awesome. ***** you.
