- falstaff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+60These are much better, and much less painful:
http://www.muc.muohio.edu/~natedogg/main.htm - TruthElixirX, on 10/12/2007, -8/+50Actually, Wolverine had claws since he was born, but they used to be just bone.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -7/+47Superman would win. Which is why he is the lamest super hero. He's pretty much unbeatable, and he has a stupid costume, and stupid disguise.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+38Y'know when you see something...and you get that little pain right behind your balls...like your balls are retracting into your abdominal cavity?
That's exactly what I felt when I saw those pix. *shudders* - GlitchEnzo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+35never has a post so simple communicated my feelings so well
- Dochtuir, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26He got the metal attached to his skeleton and claws in the lab, but the claws were already there. They were covered/extended in the adamantium
- digitaloxygen, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24@falstaff
Agreed. That is a great job. The ones in this dig story are completely stupid. They look bad and would rip right out of your skin easily. I realise they are not meant to be real or anything, but they just look stupid. they don't even look like wolverine claws.
How the hell would you shower or have sex! Although I supposed someone who does that to their body probably doesn't have a lot of sex. - LuckyNYC, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22this turned into a nerd fest real quick like.
- rockintom99, on 10/12/2007, -8/+28Very true, Superman sucks. Batman owns everybody, because at least he is somewhat realistic.
- 52tease, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23http://duggmirror.com/mods/Photo_Real_Wolverine_Brazilian_X_Men_Fan_Inserts_3_Claws_under_Skin/
- popltree2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19He does realize that Wolverine has super-human regenerative powers and so that's why he can have the adamantium skeleton and claws, right?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17You're on digg, what do you expect?
- Dochtuir, on 10/12/2007, -8/+22To be honest, those claws suck compared to Wolverines. Also, totally the wrong shape.. What a waste of time.
- MtMega, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14This is Wolverine's retarded cousin, Queerverine.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13The regenerative powers is what keeps him from bleeding to death and having lose skin flopping around his hands.
Plus they were bone, and because of his power he was easy to add the metal too, because the wounds would heal themselves. - mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -8/+20Batman is the best. How many people can say they're an expert in martial arts, and the world's greatest detective, while being a millionare playboy? *****, man...even I would have sex with him!
- Insimbi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13That looks completely gay. Although he could probably crochet a sweet afghan with those. :)
- catholicismwow, on 10/12/2007, -5/+17I'm going to laugh when that guy tries to slash someone with those and ends up tearing them out of his hand.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14yea because having 12 inch claws with razor sharp edges would be more practical...
feel free to correct me that they are 11.5 inches or whatnot - allanpat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12@ venir - i'm gonna go geek-boy on you. The Weapon X story from Marvel Comics Presents is not in continuity. It's not the official version of his backstory. Read Wolverine: Origin - he's had the claws since he was a kid
- PYRO200055412, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10This guy is an asshat. They dont even look cool
- mogus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9They don't even look sharp or firmly attached to anything. They look like three dull steel rods he had inserted under his skin. They probably flop around when he moves his hand, now that's intimidating.
- TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I love how it's submitted under "mods"
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9To answer the question the article poses: Freakboy
These claws are kinda lame, really. It looks like he shoved knitting needles under his skin. Wolverine's claws are triangular, this guy has circular ones that look like they're bent up already, so we know they're not made of Adamantium - jbigelow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Claws like Wolverine's sound cool in theory, when human physiology isn't an issue, like say oh in comic books maybe they can look bad ass. This tool looks like he has a garden rake embedded in his hand.
- exobyte, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Batman a playboy and Superman for the "gayes?!" I think it's the other way around. Superman had Lois, Batman had Robin.
- subscribtion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Those suck ass.
- twe4ked, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"Awesome!! I think he should insert 12 more in his head where his brain used to be."
- jbarket, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I don't have an image of it, but when Magneto ripped the adamantium from Wolverine's body, he discovered that his claws were made of bone.
- Fett101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Wolverine-first-claws.jpg
- bioskope, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8@laianrocks
easy there cowboy, his claws first came out when he was a kid. They were plain clawlike bones then. He later had them adamantium coated in the lab - JoeMaller, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7They must have changed the story since I read it. The Wolverine I grew up with had mutant healing abilities, that allowed the Weapon X experiment to give him adamantium bones and claws. I haven't kept up with the Marvel lore since the late 80s, but I never, ever recall hearing of Wolverine with bone claws.
Besides, animal claws aren't bone, they're keratin. - DeadPain, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6@venir
he was born with the bone claws... http://www.lostsoulwolverine.com/origin.htm - streetlamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4They are only temporary so I doubt anyone will be ripping them out or run into any toilet paper related issues.
- Laughingman234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4lol that has to be the most ridiculous thing I've seen this week...
- JackHallows, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4http://bash.org/?654170
- bioskope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@CrossHare, if u are indeed the comic freak that u say u are, then you should maybe give
"Wolverine : Origins" miniseries a shot. It shows how the kid spawns from loser stuck in bed to clawful vengeful superhero - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+11Supermans disguise doesnt suck, it's just that everyone around him is too dumb to realize he slicks his hair and takes off his glasses when hes all flyin n *****.
- flipside89, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Im gonna laugh when someone goes and grabs the claws and rips 'em out...Let's see that dude heal from that.
- venir, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4@deadpain
Origin is an offshoot of the xmen series. It was not the original wolverine story. In Marvel Presents: Weapon X, Logan did not already have claws and is surprised when they come out in his regeneration tank. Origin wasn't written by the creators of Wolverine: Len Wein, John Romita, Sr., Herb Trimpe
From Wikipedia:
"Origin is a six-issue comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics from November 2001 to July 2002, written by Bill Jemas, Joe Quesada and Paul Jenkins, and illustrated by Andy Kubert (pencils) and Richard Isanove (color).
Origin tells the story of the origin of the superhero Wolverine, best known as a member of the X-Men. Since the character first appeared in the early 1970s his history had often been shrouded in mystery, with bits of information revealed piecemeal over time (notably in Weapon X), but this series was the first to reveal Wolverine's early days and his original background."
"The plot, while seemingly a very distant origin of Wolverine with very little real ties to his current place in the Marvel universe, contains a good deal of subtext." - bioskope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3like someone pointed out, i'd like to see how he uses toilet paper with those
- xVern, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Man, a bunch of you guys are morons. ***** jocks, go back to high school and pick on the people who are different.
Anyways, the peircings are temporary, and probably didnt stay in longer than a few hours. So calm down if you think its somelife changing thing. - venir, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7They were only bone in certain offshoots of the original X-men. Look at the Weapon X series of Marvel Presents comics and you will find that he does NOT have bone claws and that the claws were a side effect of the adamentium experiment.
- pardonmedoug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeah, they look pretty removable.
also, I really doubt he did it to slash anybody.
it's just body art. look it up on wikipedia if that's your only source of factual information. - shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3superman returns just angered me, he lifted a island of kryponite DAMN YOU UNBEATABLE SUPERMAN!
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/7779/wolverinefirstclaws6lj.jpg
From Wolverine: Origin - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3That natedogg guy actually looks like Hugh Jackman. I had to take a second look.
- CursedFrogurt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I don't know what is stupider, the nard with the crappy "claws" or the idiotic comments on that site.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Can you say infection?? must have done it just for the photo op, im sure he couldnt make it more than a week or so like that
