News to you? Are you sure? I searched for "Nintendo Case Mod", the exact article title you used. If you would have done this, you would have noticed that this exact case mod was dugg—along with four others at the same exact website—151 days ago.
By you. Byyyyy yooouuu. Bayou (Billy). "News to me" isn't an excuse not to search for dupes before submitting a story, especially when it's quite obviously untrue.

now THAT seems ridiculous to me. Hope thats a bug and not a feature. - dekkon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a bad ass mod. Even if it is "old" its still worth a digg.
- migel628, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Old, but dugg anyway...
- pillfred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Burn!!!!
- adidax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, i built one with my dad a few years ago. although i didn't do the thing with the USB ports on the front, we spliced a keyboard and mouse into the controller ports. And this looks alot neater than we did.
- ndansmith, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I saw a better NES case mod where the controller ports were wired to the motherboard and the keyboard and mouse were modded to plug in there. That is a really nice stylistic touch.
- russizm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm pretty sure the reason for the low-digg-rate-to-front-page-weirdism is due to the rate at which it receives it's diggs.
Something dugg by 25 people within 2 minutes has a better chance of making the front page than something with 25 diggs in the past week. - jairhart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no duck hunt... no digg
- INHUMANITY, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Didn't the other NES mod have a optical drive in the game slot?
- I8PP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0(digs*digrate)/age
- I8PP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think it might be determined by (diggs*rate) / time.
- mikemuch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0KEWL!!@!!
- spacebar14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dude, thats awesome ^_^
- ericesque, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lame. shame on you people for digging such an un-original and old idea.
- newtype1089, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0where can I buy it?
- imjosh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0seriously, who on digg has never seen the NES case mod its practically on every case mod site you come across. Welcome to 2001.
- Schmitty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool idea for LAN gaming. Psych out the competition too ::grin::
- lunarc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes this mod has been around forever...pretty cool none the less.
- doddilus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0old, but hey put an nes emulator on that and hell yea

-jeffrey - StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+0I bought a NES, boxed, on eBay last night. I never owned one before :)
- Mohonri, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There's a better worklog here:
http://mini-itx.com/projects/nespc/
Lots more details than just a bunch o' pics - froissart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0He could put every NES game that ever existed on this machine...that would be wicked....
- QuorumCall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think you guys are missing the whole user-driven content concept, it's not supposed to be perfect.
- Jackel003, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hey welcome to 2003..
- freddie421, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've heard of this mod before, but this is the first time I've seen pics. Its pretty sweet, but it seems a little too compact for my taste. I used to have a very compact PC and it was very hard to fix because everything was so squished you needed to unplug everything before you could get to what you needed fixed. I would probably rather use the casing for an external hard drive, that would be sick. Tho I must admit that I like that you can use the controllers, I would so hook it up with an emulator and rock on the duck hunt all day!! Who cares if its old news, its awesome. dugg it!!
- TPrime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Old? Yes.
Still cool? Of course. +digg - blubolt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0O- O- OOOOLLLLLLDdddd!!!! no digg
- cusoman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Still wish they'd put this into production, I'd totally buy one.
- 1337geek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0soo old, but ill digg it still.
- F1R3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yeah quick search came up with this:
http://www.digg.com/mods/Four_Fantastic_Case_Mods_
Which actually links to this same article with some other ones as well..
I missed that and i don't care, this is still neat.
Walk up to a nintendo and put a CD in and watch the unsuspecting stare at you in awe. - z0l0pht, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Old mod, been done before.
- Nitro420, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I think I saw this on the screen savers.
- Mr.Glass, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0NES pcs are atleast 5 years old. still, this is the first one ive seen that kept the form factor in the back.
- jervana, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0i've never seen it on digg or anywhere else before, so it's news to me.
- tavisjohn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Now all you need to do is install an NES Emulator in it, and then put DuckHunt on a CD and you are all set! WOO!!!! A suped up NES! LMAO!
This is WAY BETTER than the NES Clock. (Now I want to find old NES's to modify... LMAO!) - Threephaserebel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I've seen this mod many times before, it's is old news.
- scaaven2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0front page with 23 diggs.
- illegal_op, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I don't know what's going on but 23 to the homepage is ridiculous.
