- cheifchuck0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2why doesnt anyone mod macs?
- Tufriast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That's the the most impressive computer case I have ever seen in my entire life. End of story. Hands down.
Now only is it artistic, but it also is practical. If more computer companies would actuall think like the people that make these in their spare time - perhaps I would not choose to build my own computers so often. I do not like metal as my only choice, and hell...why hasn't someone made a computer out of a stone of some sort? Shale might work great if ventilated properly. That, or slate. - breadtech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2story link that describes the mod, pretty interesting:
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1899276,00.asp - jervana, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1wow, that is one very attractive case.
great digg! - themajor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1very nice
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice it needs usb sushie
- nature, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is the best case mod I've seen, except for the retarded lighted fans on the back. That just screams cheap.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'll be impressed when they get into a gallon jug with a baseball!
- BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Its different I give it that, but cool....
- FoxHunter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In all honesty this is the best case mod I have ever seen.
Wow, just wow! - PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That, is nice.
- lordTalus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@npiv
Case modding isn't for kids. A lot of craftsmanship goes into those projects. I wish I had that kind of talent, I'm all thumbs when it comes to making things like that. - n3tfury, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1vonskippy says: "Case Modding = people with WAY WAY WAY too much time on their hands."
as opposed to you spending time in front of the teli, on the phone, browsing the internet, or sleeping more than 7 hours a day? some people can actually pull that stuff off with a normal life schedule. - StebanU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this mod is amazing i could picture a monk playing counter strike on this in the middle of one of those zen sand garden things
- wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Very, very impressive. Even more impressive that this was the not only the first case mod, but the first computer he ever made. And also, the maker is only 19.
I wish I had half (OK, even a quarter) of this guy's talent. He has some very serious cabinetmaking skillz, and can design and craft components, too. Awesome job from start to finish. - dtmfdan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1not the kind of case to take to a LAN - seems kind of fragile
- tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Thats one sweet looking case. I wish I had the skills and money to make something that attractive.
- sonnysavage, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0My wife would absolutely love this... I want one!
- jmholloway, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0hot.

http://www.applefritter.com/taxonomy/term/61 - streetstealth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Wow, a case mod that was actually *designed* instead of *pimped*.
I would say it's approximately 1.2 zillion times more tasteful, refined, and mature than those glowing "demon skull" cases. - vonskippy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Case Modding = people with WAY WAY WAY too much time on their hands.
I can only think that the same type people were "shoe box mod'ers" in the 1950's (can you say "toaster cozy").
That said, very nice design. - T3rry, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1haha, crazy japanese, they'll mod anything.
- Morph_Ball, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That thing could be described as awesome, cool, sweet, etc.
I'll describe it as beautiful~
Dugg. - ericscampbell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0combining high tech toys & low tech "beauty" is surprisingly difficult to do well - I'm impressed at how "tasteful" this is.
I am generally ambivalent about mods as most of them would look out of place in just about any environment (excluding an uber-geek's gaming room) but this mod would look great just about anywhere. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0this is the ***** b-o-m-b. hands down. digg++
- gometro33, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0link to the project log. pretty sweet.
http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=89638&page=1 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Nice mod, but I pwn him in 3dmark05.

- kenplaysviola, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Very original! I like it.
- Buddybot111, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Best mod ever, no question about it. Plus the sliding doors really topped it off.
- jbklego, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0that's awesome
+digg - NeilM, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Very cool. :)
- Pizpump, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Very nice, but this:
http://biggestpos.com/pics/gallery/borgcase > every other case mod, ever. - mirunit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Nice looking case, glad its not a robot.
- snugsoho, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I'm counting down the days until you can buy that mod or something like it in Muji...
- ewhac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Absolutely gorgeous.
- anagami, on 07/02/2008, -1/+0"why doesnt anyone mod macs?"
1. because they're not ugly as PCs
2. because they're expensive
3. ppl do mod Macs ;P - ThrillSeeker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0so sweet
- Zidion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0wow, that is friggin nice.
- m4v1s, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0become one with the pwnage
- crombie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That's gorgeous. Well done.
- geeky, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I can appreciate the nice wood working skills although I’ll have to disagree with everyone I think it's ugly. I’ll digg because I love wood working and of course this is a piece of art.
- caartist2004, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I know first hand how much work went into this project, he is an excellent craftsman and truly enjoys what he does. Great job Nick and congratulations on a great start to what I know will be a bright future.
- CLIFFosakaJAPAN, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0@goliath553
I know this wasn't "news" but thought it was a work of art. Everything doesn't have to be Tech News on Digg. Even Keving Rose Diggs stories like this. If he can Digg stories about Flying Squirrel suits and Red Paper Clips; then this story deserves to be submitted. - marmaduke, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0No one mods macs because they are made to be pretty in the first place, that's a big part of the appeal. I'll take a beige pos case over a mac at anytime.
- carguy84, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Anyone else expecting to see a little ninja throw some one through the side of that thing?
- npiv, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Case mods on the front page,
really kids... - coolcoolglasses, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2While I can see how much work went into it, it does not really do that much for me. Kind of boring
