Talk about unfortunate. - linkcma, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I'll put this next to my lego AT-AT.
- nuteredardvark, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Build a paper craft town then have the at-at pwning it.

- pitfallharry, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Meh. These things wouldn't last 10 seconds on Hoth...
- ClunkClunk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6TIE fighter, TIE interceptor, AT-ST, Star Destroyer, Y-Wing, Millennium Falcon, Sand Crawler, Probe Droid and a YT-130 are all available on the site too:

- bloodomen13, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I think it'd take WAY too long to make that Borg Cube
- crazyatlantaguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I got half way through one of those once, they look sweet but you have to have a lot of free time and a lot of patience. Apparently I was missing one or both.
- bawilson2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5They go together pretty quick. Just make sure you have a glue stick. It makes it much easier!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7Those are cool, but I would never have enough time to finish one!
- TheSeraph, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I wish they had an ED-209 from Robocop version.
- Tazmaster, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Woop! There it is.
- Laqrhead, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I built a similar star destroyer, it was a good way to pass the time with a sprained ankle.
- HalFTW, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3You can make your own paper templates from 3D models with this program: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/

I'll put it next to between my LEGO AT-AT (when I get one of 'em put together) & my original Kenner AT-AT I bought new. - Twinked, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Woop! something to do while I'm at work!
- JoeJacobs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah, definitely would rather do this with LEGOs.
- TheKricket, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2wow - ive never even heard of this before
bookmarked! (both the op's and cgifool's contris) - Damion, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2These are awesome. I'll get started on that valkyrie sweetness
- NoSuchAgency, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I think one of the keys to papercraft may be CONTACT CEMENT. I tried it with regular glue and it simply doesn't work... The tabs need to stick FAST.
- rschluss, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Wow! those are pretty detailed.
On a side note... per cougaboy's comment about "Lens Head" being spelled "Rens Head".
Poor spelling with papercraft seems to be prevalent. If you follow the link to Yamaha's papercraft and view the instructions for the cranes, you will notice that the instructions are for creating both a "Female" and a "Mail" crane. heh. - gcnaddict, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"Actually it's Chinese."
Actually, it IS Japanese. Get your characters straight. - shadowman99, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Difficult to see. Always in motion is future. Office Color laser printer abuse I see. If you leave now, color toner they may still have. But you will sacrifice all for which they have fought.

some parts were too painstakingly small to assemble, but im happy with what i've made - djAnakin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Guess I know what i'll be doing at work tomorrow.
/fwd to work address. - jerrysizzler, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1would this life-sized r2d2 be your kids' size? or will it be adult human size, equipped with paper maché cannons, terrorize xlar54's neighborhood, and end up falling apart in a pulpy, gluey mess when the golf course sprinklers turn on and catch your 6' r2 by surprise???
i was thinking about a fleet of millennium falcons...with deloreans strapped to the tops of 'em? ***** yeah! - jlyoung, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2checkout these highly detailed Gundams
http://www.japanator.com/incredible-paper-craft-rx-93-2-hi-%ce%bd-gundam - bovester, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2that wouldn't take quite that long... right?
- lbmouse, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3"Japanese don't have an L in there alphabet so they always replace it with an R."
Is that why they like to drive Cadiracs an Rincolns? - h3ndrix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This guy at works does a lot of these models. I work in aviation so mainly his stuff is planes but he just told me he's done some hardcore AT-ST's and the Falcon (2 and half feet).
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Id like to try and use a sheet of posterboard, blowing up the models to say, two or three times their size. I saw one of the papercraft R2-D2s awhile back and thought it would be cool to modify the plans to make a life size one for the kids. Some reinforcement would be needed or else the thing would just fall to the floor, but the idea of using larger and heavier paper is interesting.
