Money cannot buy class. - tidu, on 10/12/2007, -6/+120I can't, my eye hurts.
- revmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+35so what's that superstition about breaking a mirror, bad luck for 7 years? damn, i'd hate to be the guy that crashes it or into it...
- zweben, on 10/12/2007, -9/+30I'm pretty sure that's the definition of tacky.
- sooperdooper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Which one hurts after reading tfa?
- Coppertop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19It's like what would happen if the T-1000 (terminator 2) was a beamer.
- JPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Could you imagine driving in front or behind that thing with a glare from the sun?
- signal15, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20I agree, I think it looks awesome. It's definitely unique. The company that makes this paint says it can be used on cars, but it would be interesting to see how it holds up over time. If you search around, there are a couple of Benz's and other BMW's with it. They also make a gold color, and a "shaded chrome" which is nearly black, but still mirror like.
- Nydas, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! My eye! It hurts! Why o why? Why my eye?
Thank goodness i still have my other eye. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+19Dunno about you guys, but I have two eyes, not one 'eye'.
- PhillyMJS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14My eyes! The goggles do nothing!
There really is no accounting for taste, is there? How long until the first rap video appears that features an all-chrome Escalade? Because we all know those rappers are like the Chuck Yeagers of tacky. Always pushing the envelope.
~Philly - boolean, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16can anybody translate?
- nusblog, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17http://duggmirror.com/mods/Full_body_chrome_paint_on_BMW_M3/
- sjalloul, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15It's a BMW M3 already, why is this needed? I prefer the stock model AS IS....maybe to an exception for the navi
- vagarach, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Just imagine the accidents that would cause..."aaaahhhh my eyes!" followed by some collision.
- pixeleyes, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16At least its easy to check your hair and makeup in the mornings, or if you are wearing clothes if your a man,
- pigonthewing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11***** tiptronic/formula1/paddleshifters. drive with a manual clutch like a man.
- rolfeman02, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1060,000 Canadian for the paint job
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Wonder how much something like that would cost...
- KyjL, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12It's begging to get keyed.
- al28p, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9more chrome cars here... http://www.blachlackierung.de/verspiegelung.html
- phraud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8@Genthree
Close... almost $53k - DarthPoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9What dumbass is going to steal a car like this?

- culbeda, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Finally! A car that looks better dirty than clean.
- trimpnick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Here's a translation
Incredible, it's been a long time that I've kept an eye on m3s, but this surpasses everything. On these pictures, the project is not finished, no engine, no interior...even the interior has been revamped, it's gonna be INCREDIBLE. A guy from Ontario (Canada)
It's something around 60,000 Canadian $ just for the paint job.
The ride height is high because they don't want to scratch it when they put it on the trailer
Then there's another guy who says it's so high cause there's no engine in it - superkendall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Do not stare at car with remaining eye.
- critchmac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6A perfectly good car ruined.
- theholycow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Can you imagine other drivers turning off their high beams that get reflected back to them?
- Markie1006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Thank god the guy photographing the helmet had some clothes on.
I had really nasty flashback involving a kettle for a second there. ugh. - drenader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It just screams 'look at me'. The only problem is you will only be left looking at your own reflection.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This stuff is old (at least a year or more). Since the pictures were taken, the shop that did the work left the car outside and it turned gold. He sued them and has yet to get any money back for the damages. Check out Bimmerforms.com for more info.
- nofxjunkee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5but for safety reasons I doubt you could cover your car in let's say mirrors. it would be dangerous for you and other drivers. it's not the colour, but the material.
- MYarms, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Its obnoxious to say the least.
- darkixion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4So not only is the driver a BMW driver (i.e. someone who fails to understand basic road laws such as indicating and right of way), but we won't be able to drive properly ourselves from the glare of his over-priced pretentious status symbol.
- master_of_fm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4just proves that some people have more dollars than sense.
- flameboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@Coppertop:
Or if an M3 picked up the metal cap! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3There's no plate like chrome, for the holidays. . .
- HouseofEl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Is it cool? Yes. In the same way that a matchbox or hot wheels is cool. Once you get past that childhood reaction, it's pretty useless. You just spend 60 grand to look good. While someone else is going to spend 60 grand and get a fine automobile. This is the equivalent of a rich white kid from the suburbs getting grills on his teeth and flashing gang signs. Someone had too much time on their hands.
- mancat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Not for long!
- pegisys, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4it comes i all colors now, I saw a motorcycle not to long ago painted with blue chrome paint
personally I like it better on bikes then cars - dekleining, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3ruined it.
completely ruined it.
i'd rather have a normal M3 any day.
the amount of money put into the ***** chrome could've been used to give the car another 150+ hp or so.
much more worth it. - ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Would that even be legal to drive? That thing would blind every driver on the road (from the glare as well as looking like ass).
- superkendall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I had thought that was not legal, due to really blinding people at night - but it looks like a few other people are doing it as well.
- erotocrat, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Christ, I just want take a bulldozer and crush this tacky car!
- emilgh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Here's some pics of the Chrome SL:

I was the Executive Producer of this show and had the car for almost a week. Pics aren't that good, but you get the idea. - vitriolix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the chrome could look really slick, but whats with all the craptastic $50-lookin cheese graters and scoups glued on all over the place? looks like crap.
- betterth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Not everyone who is absurdly rich and wastes their money has little or no penis. But whatever helps you sleep at night, knowing you're not that rich.
- camptownjr, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Very cool BMW... not exactly my choice color. Still a very nice concept.
http://www.mycarwallpapers.com/bmw/ - Arkonnan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Joe Satriani approves.
