Money cannot buy class. - drathosX3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fduggmirror.com%2Fmods%2FFull_body_chrome_paint_on_BMW_M3%2F&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&safe=off&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
- revmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+35so what's that superstition about breaking a mirror, bad luck for 7 years? damn, i'd hate to be the guy that crashes it or into it...
- pixeleyes, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16At least its easy to check your hair and makeup in the mornings, or if you are wearing clothes if your a man,
- ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -17/+1@BassCadet
it cannot beat this one
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6575972946341056622 - headswine, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Looks like a nice mod for Pimp My Ride... :)
- gxcdesign, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2For all those who browse on bimmerforums, e46fanatics, dtmpower, and automotive forums in general...will know that this is old as the internet itself....still nice to look at.
- greves, on 10/12/2007, -13/+8incredible...
it's been a long time that i've watched them, but this beats everything:
M3 E46 new.
motor built 600HP.
Widebody Flossman.
chrome paint

and the project is not finished in the photos . not the wheels, not the motor, not the interior, and even the interior has all been redone, that's going to be INCREDIBLE !
a guy from ontario ! - Coppertop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19It's like what would happen if the T-1000 (terminator 2) was a beamer.
- flameboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@Coppertop:
Or if an M3 picked up the metal cap! - schappsj, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Completely agree with BassCadet. The car is hideous and a disgrace to the beauty and power of the M3. I'm an E46 M3 owner and that car makes me cry. Even the system in the trunk looks like crap, not to mention the performance of the car is completely destroyed with the added weight of the chrome. M3 != ricer
- BladeMelbourne, on 10/12/2007, -19/+19Awesome.
- signal15, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20I agree, I think it looks awesome. It's definitely unique. The company that makes this paint says it can be used on cars, but it would be interesting to see how it holds up over time. If you search around, there are a couple of Benz's and other BMW's with it. They also make a gold color, and a "shaded chrome" which is nearly black, but still mirror like.
- pegisys, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4it comes i all colors now, I saw a motorcycle not to long ago painted with blue chrome paint
personally I like it better on bikes then cars - al28p, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9more chrome cars here... http://www.blachlackierung.de/verspiegelung.html
- Markie1006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Thank god the guy photographing the helmet had some clothes on.
I had really nasty flashback involving a kettle for a second there. ugh. - general13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Keeping the chrome shiny and un-smudged would be 'fun.'
- snowbooch, on 10/12/2007, -29/+24what a waste of a m3...worst idea ever
looks like the paint job from "flight of the navigator"- lemac, on 10/12/2007, -25/+16Agreed! WORST IDEA EVER! I think it looks horrible. Can anyone say FINGERPRINTS.
- bakefy, on 10/12/2007, -19/+12Yeah, the m3 looks perfect stock, please only paint project cars chrome
- squirrelza, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4Anyone notice the date?
Homepage at http://chromem3.com/ - saqib, on 10/12/2007, -15/+6is it legal to drive a chrome painted car?
I was told it was illegal. I always wanted to get my acura chrome plated.... :)- omghi2u2, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7There are no restrictions on the color of the vehicles, at least in the U.S.A.
DOT regulations are a very easy read if you look. - nofxjunkee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5but for safety reasons I doubt you could cover your car in let's say mirrors. it would be dangerous for you and other drivers. it's not the colour, but the material.
- omghi2u2, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7There are no restrictions on the color of the vehicles, at least in the U.S.A.

- CanceledCzech, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2Oh my....
- ZebraGang13, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2not as bad as i thought
- hoefx, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Mercedes did a calendar 3 or 4 years ago with every car in all chrome.
- zweben, on 10/12/2007, -9/+29I'm pretty sure that's the definition of tacky.
- MYarms, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Its obnoxious to say the least.
- drenader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It just screams 'look at me'. The only problem is you will only be left looking at your own reflection.
- leftnutz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3There's no plate like chrome, for the holidays. . .
- dekleining, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3ruined it.
completely ruined it.
i'd rather have a normal M3 any day.
the amount of money put into the ***** chrome could've been used to give the car another 150+ hp or so.
much more worth it.
- danknerd, on 10/12/2007, -10/+4nice car, would love to have a full chromed out car
- thearrow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Wonder how much something like that would cost...
- rolfeman02, on 10/12/2007, -0/+960,000 Canadian for the paint job
- Genthree, on 10/12/2007, -10/+10so...5 dollars US?
- phraud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7@Genthree
Close... almost $53k
- JPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Could you imagine driving in front or behind that thing with a glare from the sun?
- theholycow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Can you imagine other drivers turning off their high beams that get reflected back to them?
- KingBelly, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18Dunno about you guys, but I have two eyes, not one 'eye'.
- sooperdooper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Which one hurts after reading tfa?
- mancat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Not for long!
- superkendall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Do not stare at car with remaining eye.
- KSUdesigner, on 10/12/2007, -15/+4Why don't they just put a sign in the window that says "steal me!"
- DarthPoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9What dumbass is going to steal a car like this?
- Nydas, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! My eye! It hurts! Why o why? Why my eye?
Thank goodness i still have my other eye. - MasterChi, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2"Internal Server Error

AHHH, My eye's. - QuitoPR, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Wow, I wonder how much it cost him to paint it all
- emilgh, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5Not that I've ever done this. Or condone it... This is a spray-on finish that's not actually chrome:
http://www.alsacorp.com/products/mirrachrome/mirra_prodinfo.htm
These guys did a Murcie for 50-Cent. I've seen the car before and after the treatmant. It's perfect.
Oh, and as someone mentioned above, Renntech and Nitto (I think it's Nitto) sponsor a Chrome finishd Mercedes-Benz SL. I've driven that car and it get's a LOT of attention. - JoeB4ever, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5Probably the heaviest and slowest BMW on the market.
- vagarach, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Just imagine the accidents that would cause..."aaaahhhh my eyes!" followed by some collision.

- sjalloul, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14It's a BMW M3 already, why is this needed? I prefer the stock model AS IS....maybe to an exception for the navi
- JorgeGT, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Because this people think they are smarter than professional engineers and designers :-D
- theholycow, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5@JorgeGT:
Yeah, because we all know color is an engineering issue. Why, I bet it will handle like a pickup truck with all that chrome...
- m3mn0n, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1"Internal Server Error

Lame. - redthumb, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3"I've got ta get me one of those."
- mastermechanic, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1wow
- ZoomBoy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6What about that Sheik's Audi A8 that was chromed as well?
http://graphics2.snopes.com/photos/automobiles/graphics/silveraudi2.jpg
The thing about the Audi is, the car is made completely out of aluminum so its easier to do than a regular car. MTM had to use a special process on the plastic skirts, bumpers, etc to get them to chrome but it came out blindingly good. - trimpnick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Here's a translation
Incredible, it's been a long time that I've kept an eye on m3s, but this surpasses everything. On these pictures, the project is not finished, no engine, no interior...even the interior has been revamped, it's gonna be INCREDIBLE. A guy from Ontario (Canada)
It's something around 60,000 Canadian $ just for the paint job.
The ride height is high because they don't want to scratch it when they put it on the trailer
Then there's another guy who says it's so high cause there's no engine in it - wilhoitm, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Awesome! Pimp my Ride!!!!
- haqattaq, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1rather have the all gold bimmer...
- KyjL, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12It's begging to get keyed.
- dhughes, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4 I think it looks gorgeous, I've always wanted to do that to a car. It looks futuristic.
If it's real chrome it must have added a lot of weight to the car it must be a very heavy! Polished aluminum, and I mean very polished, would have looked almost as good but much lighter. - erotocrat, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Christ, I just want take a bulldozer and crush this tacky car!
- MasterDwarf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Man, you know how hard it's going to be to keep that thing clean?
- gotvarner, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1new desktop!
- Tyseyh, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3ya know... its ugly... but it aint THAT bad.
- master_of_fm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4just proves that some people have more dollars than sense.
- trancient, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I think this splendid ride belongs to Missy Elliot or that Jadakiss fellow.
How do you all like my grill now? - HRF1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3The McLaren MP4-21 was a bad ass chrome machine (livery-wise) but this is just hideous.
http://www.mclaren.com/theteam/mp4-21_photo.php - PhillyMJS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14My eyes! The goggles do nothing!
There really is no accounting for taste, is there? How long until the first rap video appears that features an all-chrome Escalade? Because we all know those rappers are like the Chuck Yeagers of tacky. Always pushing the envelope.
~Philly - ncraig, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4I personally think it looks sick
- pEEpiNgtoM, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1ive always wondered why ive never see anyone do this
is it illegal for street use? - barl0w, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Fugly, but at least the owner must be in love, else he wouldn't have done it. That'd sure make for an original show car.
- wowbagger, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4It must be an asian to have created something so gawdy.
What a fugly POS. - Nuak, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1What in the world?
- SgtPeppers, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Omg my eyes are bleeding
- ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Would that even be legal to drive? That thing would blind every driver on the road (from the glare as well as looking like ass).
- district13, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0tissue please? my eyes hurt
