- ControlledBurn, on 10/12/2007, -6/+72My college roomie was responsible for this. The man has way too much free time on his hands.
- InsaneMachine, on 10/12/2007, -3/+51at least it won't overheat
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+47This is surprisingly well done. I especially like the computer and the phone. Now, what we REALLY need is a video of his reaction when he gets back.
- WorldGroove, on 10/12/2007, -4/+47Should of upgraded the Dell with a P-P-P-Powerbook.
- Red2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30ControlledBurn said I should stop on by.
Yes, this was done on "company time" lol! I swear though that it was only during down time when we didn't have anything to do. It was done by myself and two others over the course of two days. Mike will be back in town tomorrow and we plan on taking pictures and posting the to the site so stay tuned! - celeronxl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27At first I thought this was pretty lame, but that was only having seen the first picture. After I scrolled down, I realized how awesome this is.
If I were that guy, I'd come back to the office and quite literally rofl. - EPeters, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28There no PC tower. How the hell are the monitors working?! Spooky.
- BitSlash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24He did a great job- Especially on the homestar runner error messages.
- sammykrupa, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27I have that printer shown in the pictures. It is excellent.
- grambones, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24But it must be said.. Where did the air come from!
- dcgray2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24That's the most sturdily constructed Dell system I have ever seen.
Where do I get one? - spitfire6006006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19uh, you do realize this is digg.com, right?
- al28p, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22Funny how mac flame bait is starting up in a artcle about a cartboard office. Jeeze
- et_nyc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16The UPS was a nice touch :-). Hope Digging this doesn't blow the surprise.
- shrewduser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16i wonder if they did all this on their own time or not :)
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15well done. this is great... I laughed at the plugins into the cardboard box.
- mancat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Isn't this what most India-based customer support centers look like?
- avatarpalin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+18You know I bet there is a manager somewhere in the world.. right now.... stroking his chin thinking
"you know....... We throw most of our cardboard out... Give it away for free!! If I Synergies this with my open floor plan.... Just think of my bonus!!" - Justice101, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16bury me in chocolate for I say farewell to thee
bury - kgool, on 10/12/2007, -14/+25...waiting for the Mac zealots to mention that the cardboard Dell is probably an upgrade.
- aknowles5139, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Haha.... I'll never forget that... "Where did the air com from?! And who paid for that!"
- Laurentvw, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12http://www.duggmirror.com/mods/Extreme_Office_Prank_Office_Constructed_of_Cardboard/
- nightstar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10May want to blur the UPS label on the UPS...
- Aculeus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I was about to suggest that you get a new job.
- Giever, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Digg for the Strong Bad reference on the computer.
- darkecho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Very nice guys. I am amazed at the detail you went through. Even the system errors. Two thumbs up on this one. Hopefully he won't be pissed like the balloon guy.
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Geez, last night (no, really, he just got back from his honeymoon) I went and filled up a few hundred balloons and filled our sales guy's office up.. I thought that was a good prank.. These guys just blew me outta the water.
- maiku00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8nice, dual monitors!
- EPeters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"something" Hills, IL 69961?

- Gregd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Is that a safe door in the background of one of those pics?
- xgravix, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Yeah, the cardboard UPS (uninterruptable power supply) at the very end was the best part... hilarious =)
- nazsco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5what about the "you realize this is digg"?
maybe he was just chanting in joy! - bexy4506, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This was a pretty good prank. The first picture didn't impress me much but when I scrolled down I thought it was hilarious. Lot's of detail. Can't wait to see his reaction.
- EPeters, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I think this is it:
CDW Computer Centers Inc
200 N Milwaukee Ave, Vernon Hills, IL
(847) 465-6000 - dawgma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Well... at least it's less flamable.
- RATabora, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Yeah that was my favorite part. I love how the plugs are just rammed right into the cardboard. Hilarious :)
- techie4life, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6oh and that dosent prove any point except those IT people at THAT job have more time on their hands...
- BeatJunkie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Heh... That reminds me of the time when me and some co-workers re-designed another fellow co-worker's office while he was on vacation. One time we gift-wrapped everything in his office -- his pens, books, keyboard, monitor, tower, parts of his desk... He was finding wrapped items in his desk for weeks after he got back.
Another time we piled empty cardboard boxes just inside his door so he opened his door to a wall of boxes. Oh! And a couple years later while on another vacation, we ran strings all across his cubicle in every which way. Almost look like spiders took over.
Good times. :) - techie4life, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It all depends on where you work, some have free time to do that many don't......and if you don't want to read about it then don't...let everyone else decide whether or not they want to...
- DannySpace, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5If I did something like this in the office I work in, I'd be out of a job. The question is: Where can I get bosses like theirs?
- MasterDwarf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow, a completely recycleable office.
- spitfire6006006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It's supposed to be a UPS, and they are sometimes that big (well, almost)
- jtjenn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The Happy Bunny was cute. LOL.
- Darth_tater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4wow thats a lot of work for 2 days
the detail is amazing, i cant wait to see his reaction when he discovers this. - cruelpupet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I am very impressed...I might have to use this idea in the future.
- kbarrett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is 'my crappy award for something'.
