FLV PLAYER - Drood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Only downside with downloaded stuff from Google Video is the fact that, at least for me, in VLC, you can't skip backwards or forwards. You can only pause.
Greasemonkey is awesome. I'm pretty harsh when it comes to digging. Very picky. Rarely digg, but this gets one, definitely! - xerox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0why dont you guys just use VLC to convert the FLA?

- Agekay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It is useful to save the video if Google does not let you watch it online as it is the case when you're from Germany. But you can download it with http://feelingtea.com/decode/google/ to watch it anyway.
- Misunderstood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"btw. at YouTube you downloads a get_video.php, does anybody knows what kind of media file it is?"

http://www.aviashoes.us/ - txtrinitytiger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hi,
I'm actually a Google Video fan myself. I decided to attack the root of the problem and figure out why the downloaded files weren't playing in Windows Media Player. With some playing around and looking at the format of the video files, I wrote a small program that takes out the messy work and makes it really simple to download and modify the video files so they're compatible with Windows Media Player.
The link to the program is: http://www.jlramirez.info/projects/gVideoFIX
and the link to its blog post with an explanation of how it works is at:

- kagayaki1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't mind dupes like this so much - not everyone gets to check Digg everyday and sometimes you just miss stuff. I missed this one, and I'm glad it showed up again. Nice work.
