*trying to compete agaist most digged down comment* - muaddib420, on 10/12/2007, -2/+70perhaps making cool objects that other people wish they had the skills/creativity to do is "his life."
- trylleklovn, on 10/12/2007, -5/+65.. to write pointless comments, which partly insults the great deal of work which must have gone into this.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+65That is the coolest case iv ever seen, mixing old and classic with new technology!
- mattsidesinger, on 10/12/2007, -2/+46Sweet, I'll make one for my grandma ASAP.
- gjd131, on 10/12/2007, -0/+43If your computer is running at 1800 degrees F, you might need a new fan.
- OneKingDown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+41Does anyone have a thesaurus here at digg. AMAZING is not the only adjective you can use to describe something that strikes your fancy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+41ZOMG, u r so funny! LOLZ!
- DrBooBooGone, on 10/12/2007, -3/+34It's nice to see it runs Windows too!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30I believe that was pun intended!

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27No, he has a life.
This is just his hobby... they are good things to pick up... and no, Digging isn't a hobby. - wvdavis, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22@ BetaMerc - Change your name to "anicejew" then make a stupid comment on digg.

THOSE are the most common words here... - vcleniuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Holy mods, batman!
It's the pope-pc. - mennonite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14The heat of the running machine? Probably fine, it did sustain the heat required to melt all that lead.
- BinDrinkin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Looks like H.G. Wells' Desktop PC ;-)
- liambarron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13If you will all open "C/:Documents and Settings/PastorDave/Bible/Genesis/Chapters/3.17.doc" we will begin.
- xrisnothing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Stained glass is relatively easy and I'm sure a lot of digg users already have one of the skills required: the ability to solder. It's a pretty cool art form. Try it out, if only to make a crazy stained glass PC case.
- howski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10old-and-busted, new hotness...all in one!
- kmb1794, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9All that time an effort and no real payoff with the, what is that, like a yin yang? Pfft.
I want to see like a righteous martyr or saint picture with half naked people all bleeding. Or maybe even portraits or mythology. It could have been epic insted it is easy listening. - kixxster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8astonishing, astounding, stunning, staggering, shocking, startling, stupefying, breathtaking, awesome, awe-inspiring, sensational, remarkable, spectacular, stupendous, phenomenal, extraordinary, incredible, unbelievable, wonderous.
I've got a thesaurus.
personally I'm going with awesome, in the true defined sense of the word, not like "that hot-dog was awesome)
very nicely done - timxpx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7agreed -- i haven't made anything out of stained glass since high school shop class and it still amazes me that someway, somehow, the lamp that i made still works / hasn't caught fire / fallen apart.
...though i think if i were to get back into it, i shouldn't *start* with a computer case. - Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7How DARE this INGRATE take an item that BELONGS TO HIM which HE PAID FOR and DO WITH IT whatever he DARN WELL PLEASES. THAT is what is WRONG with this WORLD when PEOPLE are allowed to DO WHATEVER THEY WANT with things that THEY OWN.
I MEAN JESUS GOD AND HELLING CHRISTING DAMN JESUSING HELL CHRIST! WHAT IS HE THINKING?!
(ps dude ur an idiot lol) - vemerge, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10That is sweet. I wonder how the glass holds up to the heat?
- ejm508, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6pssssst...I'm pretty sure it was a joke
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I suppose "amazing" and "awesome" are the most common words used here...
- shertzerj, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9Yeah well when I got my iPod the Apple logo on the back reminded me of the apples that come from trees. You know, the kind you can eat? It was cool.
;) - ontain, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6looks great though it would be like making your pc case into a greenhouse.
- compwizz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Well, considering glass melts between 1400-1600 C (2552-2912F for those of you that prefer the English system), I would say it would hold up just fine. The wood would catch on fire before the glass would melt.
- danolunchbox, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7wow...free time, but awesomely spent. good work! it's like a "religious pc"
- 5hop4orce, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7This is a neat idea, but the execution is *****. Total overkill. Cliched/tacky/lame "eastern" symbols. Clashing/mismatched styles and materials in the same piece. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy would have a field day with this.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@snurfle
You missed one.
"But...does it run linux?"
>.> - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Why does he need a life? Can you do decent woodworking? What about making stained glass? Or mounting stained glass? Why are these skills not having a "life"?
Oh, because having a "life" means you're a shallow consumer whose day revolves around celebrity sleaze and American Idol. Right. - Valleye, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I agree, I have not see any like this before. I applaud the originality!
- SirBotchness, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6very different.
- smb3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I don't think he's planning on eating it.
- ROYALWITHCHEESE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4sorry, but this has absolutely no style
- omnitrick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4someone's jealous...
- yournamehere, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4what are you, a comma chameleon?
- raydar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It really is beautiful, but I do have a real concern with the heat. Since glass is a poor conductor of heat, is it possible that after the machine has been on a while that the heat that is being absorbed and radiated slowly back into the box might cause it to overheat? Does the metal in a normal case act somewhat as a heat-sync for the entire unit? I'm sure an extra fan or two could take care of it but I'm wondering if it is an issue at all?
- palmer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I bet you handle plenty of wood.
- brendanc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4if it were for sale i think a reasonable price would be in the $1500 to $2000 range... that's a pretty fine custom build.
- fuzzynyanko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If you're building a PC from scratch at home, you can't buy new Dell, HP, Compaq, Alienware, or Apple cases that easily. If he bought the components separately, it would be VERY redundant to put the components into a case only to have to transfer it to that one.
- UltimaNut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Now load Windows XP on it and sell it on EBay as antique.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The article is down, but after looking at the mirror pix, I'll bet this was done by the same guy who did the japanese wood and paper case.
- Dgen_X, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I can see why there aren't any comments....I'm speechless after seeing that thing
edit:
ok...that was weird...said Comments(0) up top...and there weren't any showing.....
wacky
oh well...I look like a retard now - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I am surprised no one has pointed out the REALLY TACKY YIN YANG! Western antique glasswork meets techonology meets Eeastern philosophical symbol?
