- inactive, on 03/23/2009, -0/+26Actually he says he uses a strobe. So he could have the room in near darkness. He also has the aperature set to f13. My guess is it is a lot easier to trigger a strobe light to flash, than it is to get the camera to take the picture.
This could have been a 30 second exposure, but having the image exposed by light from strobe for 1/600 second could result in a photo like this. - dodger2020, on 03/23/2009, -0/+23Checking the same EXIF data you reference, you'll see that an onboard flash did not fire. And that it was set at f/13. My guess is that it went something like this:
1)activate one second exposure
2)fire pellet at razor blade
3)external flash not connected to camera - triggered by pellet. Possibly motion based, time based with much trial and error, or using a beam.
