I decided a long time ago to move to Linux and just virtualise XP for those odd times I need it.

- crashie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This seems to apply to DOS programs only, and not Windows programs (and GCC has been available for the Windows platform for a loooong time). So most applications from the last decade shouldn't be affected. Buried for being inaccurate.
However, I do think it's lame to add such restrictions. But of course Microsoft wants the users to have to recompile old software with Microsoft's new compilers so they can make some extra $$$... - pyalot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What a complete scam.
