- covert215, on 11/03/2007, -5/+178This is absolutely amazing. The most ironic part is in the notice at the top of the report: "Your computer profile was not sent to a web server."

- ryuD, on 10/12/2007, -4/+63All your keys are belong to us.
- krazikamikaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+58Ok wtf. One of those pages was underneath a folder called PRIVATE, so I decided to check out the folder to do some snooping...
2 minutes later I know his name, address, who he works for, how much money he makes, his marital status, his SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, his wireless router configuration INCLUDING PASSWORD, and I'm sure there's a lot more to be found (maybe a credit card #?). I don't want to post a link because I know someone will take advantage of him, but he does kinda deserve it. Plus it's not hard to find his page based on the info I gave. - iNunchuk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+59$8500 gone in...(checks top right hand corner of search bar)...0.07 seconds! Google, you never cease to impress me.
- shteinb, on 10/14/2007, -1/+57WOW. It isnt just XP, its Office, Dreamweaver and a bunch of other high end applications. Its a gold mine...
- Eazy~e, on 10/14/2007, -2/+52Even better than the XP key?
Some with public IPs, usernames (even which ones are admin), and services running. Here comes the science! - veracon, on 11/13/2007, -5/+49Damn, this guy is hardcore:

- razrielle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+38******* there it is, how bout you try typing your password too?
- krazikamikaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35Found his phone number. I'm tempted to call him and warn him....
once I do a little more snooping. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+38Q: Will the Belarc Advisor send my PC profile information up to a web server?
A: No. The Belarc Advisor creates a local Web page and does not send up your PC profile to a Web server or anywhere else.
Straight from the F.A.Q. off http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html - bluedefender8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30There are also keys for other MS programs, such as Visio and Visual Studio to name a few.

- redDC143C, on 10/14/2007, -1/+27Liar!
- chrono13, on 10/14/2007, -0/+26Wow, thank you all for coming to my defense.
I knew about the Belarc link before it hit digg. I did see it hit digg a year ago.
I did not, of course, make this link.
Even if he did rip it from my comment, I don't think superdoug was wrong in submitting it again. And this is validated by the thousands of people digging it. - krazikamikaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24I just found a list of all paypal transactions he made in 2003.
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -10/+32What does this have to do with them?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Not sure how the key would be dead...? I'm sure you couldn't use WGA and updates with it, but it would install windows and leave you alone, which is all that matters. The rest is marginal.
- Technopundit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24Obviously not an English major.
- subxero37, on 10/12/2007, -17/+39It's "unbe-*****-lievable" -- it sounds more pleasing.
- Matt88, on 10/14/2007, -2/+23Belarc didn't upload the details - if you care to look the info has been posted by the moronic users - they deserve to be screwed for being so crazy.
- kcpwnsgman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21"******* there it is, how bout you try typing your password too?"
ih34rtrainbows
huh, thats odd, am I supposed to still see my password?
also, I love bash.org too - FuZi0nDET, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20Digg me down, but I used to use Google to find cracked passwords for porn sites, which in my opinion is a far better use for Google than a CD Keys. I'm not talking about sites that shared them, but in the site description the actually login and password for the site that I wanted to get into. That way you don't have to get bombarded by spam or sign up for some forum. I bet it still works pretty damn good too!
- keyboardduder, on 10/12/2007, -8/+27not comment abuse at all, thats how the guy found this out. Its kinda someone else's work lol
- kavery, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Well, I feel secure that Google knows everything.
I vow to cut my porn-viewing down from 2 hours to 30 minutes if this keeps up. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Pfft, I ran XP on a Cyrix processor with 56 MB (64 - 8 for vid) :)
- lowerlogic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22Here's what Microsoft execs are saying: "While our situation is not as ironic as say a shark that learns to surf to impress his friends but he fools his friends so well that they think he’s a surfer and they eat him. While this would be the most ironic thing ever, it is fairly ironic that we have XP keys showing up on our search engine."
- kavery, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22You've hit the jackpot my friend; I've been unable to locate porn anywhere on the interweb.
- QurrUm, on 10/14/2007, -1/+19No *****, Sherlock.

this guy wins for most garbage on your computer - swifty12, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Well, why don't you share you're method for "educational" purposes only?
- drumhell, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19Where are all the Ubuntu, OpenSuSe, OpenSolaris, and Fedora keys? I want the good stuff! ;)

- 6ixed, on 10/12/2007, -9/+25Can't believe this *superdoug* guy made a Digg story of somebody's comment..as ub3rgeek pointed out in his comment..
http://www.digg.com/software/LifeHacker_Top_10_Free_Computer_System_Recovery_Tools#c6145974
(the original comment being made by chrono13...and I happened to read the Digg comment page just earlier this morning and added it to MY#1 list just because of chrono's comment).
I gotta say that this is the most stupid and ingenuous dugg so far I been in this site. Look at the time..6 hours ago he submitted it, and it hit front page 42 mins earlier. - biochem, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Yeah, he could have taken the link from someones comment. But the guy who posted that comment could have got the link from the original digg post over a year ago http://digg.com/tech_news/Google_and_Belarc_Help_Find_Valid_Windows_XP_Keys
