- TheKrillr, on 02/17/2008, -12/+480this is amazing! title is a little misleading, considering its the original sounds with pitch/tone transforms -- but still amazing.
- luke16, on 02/17/2008, -5/+287Can you imagine if you had that song everytime you log onto to your computer!
I'd bet you would get all the girls... - MattJF317, on 02/17/2008, -4/+263For the first 12 or 13 seconds I thought ... oh great, this is terrible.
Then around 35 I thought ... oh *****... this is going to be REALLY good. - jasonmantey, on 02/17/2008, -1/+151You may be setting yourself up for another "why Diggers don't have girlfriends" image ...
- JackyAppleJones, on 02/17/2008, -12/+147I personally like this one more: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/noises
- camkerr, on 02/17/2008, -3/+118reminds me of those beats made using only counter strike sounds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1kd_cOmLPk

- mrjit, on 02/17/2008, -3/+102These sounds seriously raise my blood pressure. That goddamned default asterisk sound, or the startup sound blasting at full volume after a fresh install. I attribute these sounds to anger and rage. Thank god they're quickly disabled.

- iPissExcellence, on 02/17/2008, -6/+68Where do you live; in Kazakhstan?
- hokkos, on 02/17/2008, -2/+62It's extremly stressfull to listen, it reminds of all the alerts of windows x_x.
- anagoge, on 02/17/2008, -0/+51I've just cut a 40 second version of it (the second half of the song) for my startup sound.
I'm so going to get laid now. - ohsweetwoods, on 02/17/2008, -0/+51at about 0:56 it stops being gimmicky and starts being legit music. it reminds me of four tet.
- Shiftyeyedgoat, on 02/17/2008, -0/+50Turning rage-inducing ciritcal errors into euphonious tranquility.
- FirstDigg, on 02/17/2008, -5/+46Yeah, it was slightly misleading, but I still enjoyed it. I like weird musical creations.
Here's some music made from dot matrix printers: http://youtube.com/watch?v=2KsHuPSCRIM - ligyron, on 02/17/2008, -1/+39Technically, if you're allowed to clip the sounds and adjust the pitch, you can emulate lots of instruments on any note
- drastik21, on 02/17/2008, -5/+43Best use of Windows ever.
- EmitStop, on 02/17/2008, -0/+37Someone needs to do 'Still Alive' with windows sounds
- bashnu, on 02/17/2008, -0/+36The sounds we have loved to hate.
- KnockoutNerd, on 02/17/2008, -2/+35That music is pretty intense, makes me want to do something but I'll just digg it.
- weiwuwei, on 02/17/2008, -8/+41Very entertaining! Makes me want to analyze other "everyday" sounds to see how they would fit into musical compositions.
- mpphan, on 02/17/2008, -1/+29Best translation into LOLcat EVER.
- alexandramw, on 02/17/2008, -7/+33you're buried for being an idiot.
- tba2287, on 02/17/2008, -0/+25System 7-OS 9 had some good error sounds...although I'm not sure if using "eep" and "quack" sound as good as the 98 and XP sounds.
- rebolyte, on 02/17/2008, -0/+24Ha ha, where is the Willhelm scream in OS X?
- geneticlemon, on 02/17/2008, -0/+22Yeah, I started getting nervous while listening to this. I seriously expected an error window to pop up telling me there was a delay write failure or something ...
- gritta, on 02/18/2008, -0/+19Cheers for the link but it sounds ***** compared to the Windows XP and 98 music! :P

Using only the internal PC speaker. - DigitAl56K, on 02/17/2008, -1/+16Dugg for using ModPlug Tracker:
http://www.modplug.com/trackerinfo.html - tgc1, on 02/17/2008, -2/+17Title is NOT misleading. He said FROM, he didn't say he didn't alter them. That's damn impressive. I remember making ST3's and MOD's back in the day, but I never was terribly good at it. It was lots of fun back then.
- virtualball, on 02/17/2008, -1/+15I swear, from my time helping people fix their computers, I flinch every time I hear that XP error sound! :[
- HastyBoom, on 02/17/2008, -0/+14Trackers rule!
- Kauzman01, on 02/18/2008, -0/+12Wow thats one long-ass startup sound.
- xkorbin, on 02/18/2008, -0/+12Anything sounds like electric guitar if it's distorted enough.
- adooga, on 02/18/2008, -0/+11That makes no sense.
- inactive, on 02/17/2008, -7/+18***** that. i am suing it as a ringtone.
- Asianwaste, on 02/17/2008, -0/+11Holy crap.. . MOD files, Impulse Trackers, Scream Trackers... I remember these formats!!! They were great during the time before the MP3 and when all MIDI files sounded like Kazoos.
- bobbybobington, on 02/17/2008, -1/+12Old as hell, but still awesome
- Myztry, on 02/18/2008, -0/+9Trackers started back on the good old Amiga back in the mid-late 80's with protracker, octamed, and the like.
I had the complete song of "John Farnham - You're the voice" around 1988. No big deal, except it was uncompressed music, made entirely of sequenced samples, and was something like 80k. Indistinguishable from the real song.
Very few PC's at the stage even had sound cards around that era. - dn11, on 02/18/2008, -0/+9/nostalgia. ah, the days of scouring anonymous FTPs downloading MOD music and then occasionally coming across a ***** sounding MP3 to impress your friends with in WinAMP 0.20
- z00k, on 02/17/2008, -1/+10As do I. winnoise ftw
- LlamaKing, on 02/18/2008, -1/+10oh noes hes back!
- JudgeMonkey, on 02/18/2008, -0/+9Good point.
- ch4os1337, on 02/17/2008, -4/+13holy jesus....
- sroop, on 02/17/2008, -0/+9The first 13 seconds just about gave me a heart attack, or a shattered laptop. Those sounds are torturous.
- HesNikke, on 02/18/2008, -0/+8lol. sounds like digital bag pipes
