- Berkana, on 07/27/2008, -2/+6Unless their user test involved installing new hardware and software and operating new peripherals and old peripherals, their test is incomplete. Many of people's Vista frustrations came from driver incompatibilities; Vista fixing these things now doesn't do a damn thing to negate the fact that they failed miserably when they launched, leaving people with a bad taste in their mouths, and a cursory try of an operating system does address this issue.
Vista is largely eye-candy. Most of the highly anticipated features were axed to meet launch date goals, which were already too long delayed. - DarkShroud, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1Do you remember XP at launch? It was far worse than Vista's. Vista is also far easier to install than XP, you don't have to go driver hunting.
