- Lousansano, on 06/01/2009, -6/+385As long as I can push out my hand and see force lighting come out on screen, this will rock.
- NyteStarNyne, on 06/01/2009, -8/+383Kudo: "You're not sitting on the couch putting in some pre programmed waggle commands."
Oh no he dih-ent. - seldon452, on 06/01/2009, -12/+339This ***** just got real.
- RoroCo, on 06/01/2009, -17/+315While I could care less about "motion" controls for a game... The thought of flipping through the menus by waving my arms brings out the inner happy geek in me.
- rawnzilla, on 06/01/2009, -16/+311After Natal is released, playing anything PreNatal will seem like a miscarriage of gaming justice.
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -19/+272Microsoft - We don't make things, we just make things better.
- CamoChris, on 06/01/2009, -2/+202Except if it doesn't live up to expectations you will get post-natal depression.
- motivatedguy, on 06/01/2009, -1/+198Great, when Gears 3 comes out I'll have to grab cover behind my sofa.
- doug89, on 06/01/2009, -11/+160That's what she said.
- tekn04, on 06/01/2009, -5/+152It's like minority report all over again
- Crazymaniacc, on 06/01/2009, -26/+167This is a bigger revolution then the Wii. I wonder what Sony and Nintendo can do to top this... I guess not much.
- bwishey, on 06/01/2009, -0/+134Flailing is the new waggle.
- veriix, on 06/01/2009, -2/+132How much less could you care?
- Vladamar, on 06/01/2009, -5/+129Do I actually get to sword fight now?
- tnoy, on 06/01/2009, -1/+116You do know that you can have more than one console, right?
- hoju7887, on 06/01/2009, -3/+106And there's nothing wrong with that. Imagine we still flew around in planes like they did in Kitty Hawk?
- jgtg32a, on 06/01/2009, -0/+99No no mommy said I can only pick one
- JohnnyJ, on 06/01/2009, -54/+152Microsoft wins E3 2009.
- imnojezus, on 06/01/2009, -2/+92You call the Wii a gimmick, but I'd argue that if it didn't exist, Microsoft would have never tried something like this. It's all innovative evolutionary steps.
- tekn04, on 06/01/2009, -16/+100This is awesome. Everything I hoped the Wii would be and more - I only wish I had got an Xbox 360 when the console choice came.
- dagamer34, on 06/01/2009, -0/+80I really hope Microsoft did an extremely high amount of QA on this product. The reason why the controller is still around is because previous attempted to get into the casual game market with similar ideas have failed because "it didn't just simply work."
And that's the thing. It can't just "kinda work" or "sorta work". It can't just work 85% or 90%. It needs to be 99% otherwise the user will get frustrated and the product will fail. And I'm just not so sure they an achieve such reliability reasonably without a ton of effort and testing to make sure its easy to use.
And as far as the Wii is concerned, it's "ok", but it really needed WiiMotionPlus to be drop dead easy. Even something as simple as WiiSports tennis can be complicated for new people because they expect 1:1 mapping of movements. - dnmacf, on 06/01/2009, -31/+108I like.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 06/01/2009, -14/+88Little premature don't you think?
- KSUdesigner, on 06/01/2009, -2/+76You don't already? *****, I think I've been doing it wrong.
- spidoman, on 06/01/2009, -4/+72Games are cool, but to say that using motion controls is a better way to navigate menus seems so stupid to me. It's like saying that using real life folders is easier than using virtual folders. It may be more 'real' but we've made analogs like controllers to IMPROVE how we navigate virtual environments, not to overcomplicate navigation.
- beachbumx3x, on 06/01/2009, -2/+66So when can we expect Leisure Suit Larry on the 360?
- babyheadout, on 06/01/2009, -4/+67I know where I'm assigning my X button.
- kinseyincanada, on 06/01/2009, -19/+74hopefully its not just some gimmick like the Wii, but a truly revolutionary device, the talking to the character demonstration that they demonstrated seemed really cool.
- migitalwarfare, on 06/01/2009, -0/+54into the coffee table?
- digitalpencil, on 06/01/2009, -5/+59Sony have been pissing about with this tech for years, i'd hardly call it revolutionary. This time though, MS seems to have nailed the HCI elements and made it more fluid and responsive to free movement rather than set pieces. My only query is on how well this array of sensors is capable of distinguishing between moving characters and your living room? Whether or not we will require chroma-keying and what the end-lag of this tech will be once the product hits the shelves?
Still, it's an exciting look to the near future. It's definitely not revolutionary but it looks ***** sweet and there's a myriad of different applications I can see this technology lending itself too. I look forward to seeing a real-world tech demo rather than MS's cheesy advertisements to see what this thing's really capable of when being used by real people in varying environments but for a preliminary tech leak, it's definitely got my thumbs up.. - mattyvan, on 06/01/2009, -9/+59how sweet would a XXX adult porn game be,...think of the possibilitys
- roxgod666, on 06/01/2009, -0/+48These are the kinds of people i have to deal with on my team.
- Raptor007, on 06/01/2009, -0/+45You completed 46 strokes before climax! A new record!
Otherwise I'm not seeing how it would work, unless you had a partner... and in that case, why play the video game? - Shagin, on 06/01/2009, -1/+45Better luck next gen
- Handonam, on 06/01/2009, -2/+43:56 mark on the Project Natal video
yes. - inactive, on 06/01/2009, -0/+40They still make them.
- aptanalogy, on 06/01/2009, -3/+39Before Natal gaming was just in its infancy, really. Hopefully the project isn't aborted before its emergence.
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -7/+42I think the wii is about to get its ass handed to it in terms of active gaming.
- BraveQuail, on 06/01/2009, -1/+35The wii maybe a gimmick but it's very successful gimmick
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 06/01/2009, -8/+40I'm not expecting anything special out of this, but we'll see. And unlike Nintendo, I think I can rely on Microsoft to experiment with new controls without saying "***** you" to the hardcore crowd.
- Vindexus, on 06/02/2009, -0/+31Now I have a boner.
- KSUdesigner, on 06/01/2009, -2/+33A = Pinch your left nipple
B = Pinch your right nipple
Start = Grab your junk - unsigneddigger, on 06/01/2009, -0/+29I'm intrigued, but I'll stay a part of the Waitandsee tribe for now.
- andern, on 06/01/2009, -0/+28Yes, and if you undress you get to triple wield!
- t3hbagel, on 06/02/2009, -1/+29Thank you for pointing out the idiocy of the phrase "I could care less."
- CoD4, on 06/01/2009, -3/+30I personally prefer fapping through the menus
- RegalBegal, on 06/01/2009, -2/+27It's too bad they didn't know how to sell it.
- jgtg32a, on 06/01/2009, -3/+28You just can't block
- graemee, on 06/01/2009, -3/+27Double Cum Achievement.
- BigCheezy, on 06/01/2009, -4/+28What will frustrate your inner geek is the lag (as can be seen in the video) between motion and response from the system :/
