Microsoft has made it such a point that this is why driver signing is enforced in x64 vista editions. So therefore its not cute to make fun of Microsoft for BSODs anymore. In fact If you were to run a clean copy of windows with no additional drivers or extra software ontop of what you get with the OS you would never have a BSOD. Thats right BSODs are a third party issue.

I have seen 1 kernel panic. Version 10.1 when it still just started to display black lines of text on the screen. I experience various windows crashes on a daily basis. Microsoft hasn't implemented ample segregation between the layers of the kernel and thus applications can go in and run amock. Instead of forcing applications to be written properly, MS allows programmers, for the sake of dirt simple programming, to go screw around where they ought not. I still blame microsoft for allowing ANY application to crash the kernel.
