? - hollywoodcole, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6For people who don't know what nUbuntu is:
nUbuntu is a rebranded Ubuntu LiveCD that puts strong emphasis on networking tools that are required for testing the security of servers and networks.
Also I thinked he patched the following drivers for packet injection:
* madwifi-ng
* prism54
* HostAP
* wlan-ng - boardo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Good to see more and more Security/Network LiveCD's all the time. Competition in this sector will just keep advancing this distro along with DSL, Knoppix, etc...
- justinjacobs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Ubuntu + Fluxbox = Looking pretty cool to me

- LegendarySock, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Now I'm kinda pissed.
I spent the past few days making a new ubuntu install, installing fluxbox, and installing numerous pen-testing software and now? now nubuntu 6.06 releases. only DAYS after i'm done my awesome package. now i'm sad. i have nothing to be proud of anymore... - dirtvoyles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This is a great, small, networking distribution. The bare basics are there to get a box up and running. I like it because it smokes on my little PII @ 233 w/64M RAM. Even Xubuntu was a little heavy for that.
The Fluxbox interface makes it light, the networking programs come in handy, and I like the look. Maybe I'm a fanboy, but that's what I think. The best part is you can just apt-get to add anything you want from the vast Ubuntu repositories. - tombee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3nUbuntu works with my IPW2200 so I assume it will work with the IPW2100
- Brightside, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just tried nUbuntu after having tried PHLAK and not liking it (still uses XFree86 and wouldn't load GUI stuff). I do hope that they soon implement the option of booting to ram.
- ttkgeek, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7If you like Backtrack better, then why not give some suggestions to the nUbuntu team to improve the next release.
- tombee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2sudo apt-get install ubiquity
- nushto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Does anyone know if this has support for Intel Pro Wireless 2100? I just tried knoppix STD and that doesn't have support for it.
- mattwestm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I like this distro because the Fluxbox version under the Ubuntu repos has always been outdated. And, most of the themes suck.
- nbx909, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1another one..
ftp://plcustomer:photolab@photolabstore.com/nubuntu-6.06-i386.iso - treak007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ubuntu has better wireless driver support than knoppix
- hollywoodcole, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Not a big deal unless your big into networking!
- darkmist, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Backtrack is still way better.
- tombee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2"Linux person" please define.
- xswag, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1How do you install the Live Cd computer. I looked for the install script but it no longer works. Also, Espresso Installer was unavailable.
- drksun, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2backtrack ftw
- dharm, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1doesnt say much about this release...
"Changelog - 6.06: 062262006
- New kernel version 2.6.15-25-386
- Upgraded packages"
what packages were upgraded? - dharm, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2so ZERO information on what has been updated/added/removed is available on their website =/
besides being ubuntu 6.06, realy zero changes... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4Sorry..TomB is the worst linux person alive. My god, what a grumpy Brit.
- melodic666, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2whey TomB :D
