Xandros Buys Linspire

eeepc.itrunsonlinux.com — Linspire (founded by former MP3.com founder) the US based Linux distributor is being bought out by Xandros (default Linux version on Eee PC's), the Canadian desktop Linux vendor. Its deal with Asus to pre-install Xandros Linux on Asus’ amazingly popular Linux-powered Eee computer line, Xandros has become a very popular Linux distribution.

Linspire is Ubuntu based and since Xandros acquire Linspire maybe we can finally get an Ubuntu based distro on Eee PC by default and since Canonical is working on it, I mean the Atom/Ultra Portable/ MID stuff, this is very positive ! Yes, Xandrois is Debian based but... I dislike it ( Xandros that is ) and Mandriva, I really dislike Mandriva !
