- refreshers, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19Date of last release Ubuntu 5 months Jesus 2000 years
I think its time for Jesus to upgrade to a new version. - tiburon33, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Can it make WINE into a water?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15So according to that ubuntu is bigger than God too: http://www.google.com/trends?q=ubuntu%2C+god
PS: People are idiots. - mik3pass, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Ah. Google Trends. How many a laugh you've provided us with.
- JonAnthology, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9nah I'm not really into pokemon
- schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -5/+13It doesn't say much (meaningless comparison), but it's still quite amusing. Should have [Humor] tag? Probably implied from the nature of the title.
- OkydOky, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Of course it is...
Ubuntu Actually Exists... - shrewduser, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7well unlike the beatles you've provided us with some statistical backing...
- specialK16, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Ubuntu rarely crashes.
- OrangeTide, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Google trends really just show what people want to know more about. Apparently people have more questions about Ubuntu than about Jesus. I'm guessing Jesus doesn't crash or make it hard to figure out what package to install to do something.
Also I think it might make sense to bundle other search terms with Jesus, like maybe Christianity? - sloppychris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You're right, the point is to legitimately prove that Ubuntu has been more influential across the history of time than Jesus.
Nobody would have known that wasn't true if it weren't for you! - jinxcy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Lets hope this doesn't lead to massive Ubuntu CD burnings
- MrPig, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You should upgrade to a sense of humor. ::P
- mournsanity, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2...And so much more useful.
- LilJimmyNordin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Buried for "title says it all".
- arjie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That's strange. Ubuntu has better protection from virus than just sex does.
- retawd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Both of their über-dogmatic fans bug the ***** out of me.
- BlowsToYourMind, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"than Paris"
- dignon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1So, let's see... Jesus is either fictional or dead... what does that say about Ubuntu, exactly?
- ebob9, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Sadly, Ubuntu is still ranked way below Sex.

(please refrain from market 'penetration' jokes) - lowerlogic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ubuntu vs Microsoft trends:http://www.google.com/trends?q=ubuntu%2C+microsoft&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0
if the trends continue in a linear way, Ubuntu should become a more popular term than Microsoft by the beginning 2009, as is shown with my horrible digital image manipulation skills: http://img365.imageshack.us/img365/6294/ubuntuvsmicrosoftgg7.jpg - dallashigh, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1http://www.google.com/trends?q=ubuntu%2C+fedora%2C+opensuse%2C+pclinuxos%2C+simplymepis%2C+debian%2C+sabayon&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0
According to Trends, the rises in traffic appear to be mostly related to stories about security vulnerabilities.
I also have to chuckle at the fact that it goes down after Dell announces plans to sell computers with Ubuntu pre-installed. - lovekudu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Ubuntu vs Windows is probably a more accurate comparison - Windows is way ahead. Throw Mac in there (lots of people don't know what OS X is) for some extra fun:
http://www.google.com/trends?q=ubuntu%2C+windows%2C+mac&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0 - ani625, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2The very reason i use it is lost!
- connieLingus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Bigger then Jesus? Who cares...Ubuntu is bigger then Paris!
http://www.google.com/trends?q=ubuntu%2C+paris+hilton&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0 - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Not necessarily bigger but certainly better.
- sloppychris, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2"I wanna bigger than Jesus and bigger than wrestling
Bigger than the Beatles and bigger than breast implants
I'm gonna be the biggest thing to hit these little kids
Bigger than guns, bigger than cigarettes"
-Slug - pagemaster, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2untill ubuntu has its own city where people can worship the ubuntu programmers then I think i'll give Jesus the win in this battle.
- openj, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2I am He who alloweth Ubuntu. I will always be bigger than Ubuntu.
Don't get me wrong, though. I run Ubuntu too. http://www.openjesus.org/2007/for-loop - dilibau, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1you should upgrade to a new brain...
- tehAleksandrRox, on 10/10/2007, -3/+0I can't believe he just said that!
- MrViklund, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2Dugg down... Crap article. How even dare you say something like that.
