- 0L1VER, on 05/20/2008, -11/+169sudo aptitude install lettuce
Sorry - I couldn't resist. - krazikamikaze, on 05/20/2008, -0/+107Kabbage?
- talonstriker, on 05/20/2008, -2/+80Where's the KDE version?
- solarwind24, on 05/20/2008, -9/+73But can it run Crysis?
- 0L1VER, on 05/20/2008, -5/+63I thought all lettuce was "Lettuce for Human Beings".
- InspectorGadget, on 05/20/2008, -0/+57No, but if it comes with e. coli it can create one.
- -Chi.0, on 05/20/2008, -4/+52sudo apt-get -a life
- krische, on 05/20/2008, -1/+39Not to be a stickler, but their version numbers end in x.04 or x.10 which represents the month released (April, October).
- salvadorwii, on 05/20/2008, -1/+33yes, with wine
- Bicep, on 05/20/2008, -1/+29Is the GPL license imprinted on the back?
- highlymodified, on 05/20/2008, -3/+29Although the lettuce is great, there are a few big bugs you have to pick out first
- Darkhacker, on 05/20/2008, -0/+23Okay, I just asked my father who used to live in Mexico. Corral roughly translates to "baby pen" or a closed off space for small children. I'm an American and native English speaker, so forgive my crappy Spanish.
- dinostabOMG, on 05/20/2008, -1/+22Wow, uh... on a hunch I checked out your user page, and it seems all you do is make angry, disparaging comments about Ubuntu. Maybe some deep breaths are in order?
- Billistic, on 05/20/2008, -1/+21So I post a pic of Ubuntu shiraz and I don't get front page?

***** you digg. - searcade, on 05/20/2008, -0/+19I expected a computer made from lettuce which runs on linux, but hey this is kinda cool...
- djbeeker, on 05/20/2008, -1/+20When I was in Mexico I saw a brand of diapers called "Unix". I'll avoid the obvious "core dump" joke, I'm sure you can all come up with better ones anyway.

Will ShipIt send me free lettuce?

I like the Mint kind better.
I'm off to register lettuce-look.org - str1fe, on 05/20/2008, -2/+19You can customize it with fruits, cheeses, and dressings to create an enriching salad experience!
- trogdoor, on 05/20/2008, -0/+166.06 was delayed two months when it was decided it would be the first LTS release.

But in all seriousness, the general design of people holding hands in a circle has been around forever... but this one seems like it's an exact clone of the Ubuntu logo.
I wonder if they will go after them... it easily goes against their trademark policy since I'm assuming this is a commercial product: http://www.ubuntu.com/aboutus/trademarkpolicy - smacksaw, on 05/20/2008, -4/+18I bet you it makes more sound tearing the package than ALSA makes sound on this laptop.
- joelafalconer, on 05/20/2008, -7/+21I don't have a problem with Linux but this "people are running out of good reasons not to use Linux" thing is pretty ridiculous. Use whichever operating system you prefer and don't expect that others should too, because it makes you seem like an overzealous Christian trying to convert all his friends. Not good for you, or for your cause.
- dafragsta, on 05/20/2008, -0/+14"We don't spend a lot on packaging design."
- Darkhacker, on 05/20/2008, -0/+13It's "El Corral de los niños"
"The corral of the children"
I assume they mean corral, as in "to gather" rather than an enclosure for animals. Or maybe they mean something like a "yard" or "playground". (disclaimer: Soy Americano) - ChillEnt, on 05/20/2008, -1/+14"Lettuce for Human Beings"
- twiztidsinz, on 05/20/2008, -0/+12Dugg for someone who actually verifies their information.
- tian2992, on 05/21/2008, -0/+12dd if="/dev/house/kitchen/fridge/lettuce/" of="/dev/body/mouth";
or if you prefer
mv /dev/house/kitchen/fridge/lettuce/ /dev/body/mouth/ - davidrools, on 05/21/2008, -0/+12leave it out for a few weeks and it'll turn blue
- saxreturns, on 05/20/2008, -1/+12I saw a poster for an event the other day that was sponsored by 'Ubuntu Cola'.
And here they be: http://www.ubuntu-trading.com/ - thecheatah, on 05/20/2008, -0/+10It is, just look at the dna in the cells.

- Sammi84, on 05/20/2008, -1/+9Is this the running joke now?
- stage88, on 05/21/2008, -1/+9I wonder how will it taste with Wine?
- inactive, on 05/20/2008, -0/+7I don't believe in hell, Doesn't apply to me...
Also, I'm going to have to try to find out where this makes any sense. I mean, I thought communist would be something that you don't get a choice for using... Linux is all about choice, more importantly, what it's licensed under is all about freedom.
This argument is so bad it makes me want to look back at the "Linux can not possibly be a real OS" quotes. You might learn something about how to flame: If you're gonna be a retard, go ahead and do it all the way. - woxidu, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7General Public Lettuce?
- greevar, on 05/20/2008, -1/+8The correct version is 10.4 Laborious Lettuce.
- glinsvad, on 05/20/2008, -0/+6I wonder what "El corral de los ni..." means
- derjames, on 05/20/2008, -0/+6the source code must be included though....
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+6*10.04, but yes, I did the maths and you are correct.
- glinsvad, on 05/20/2008, -0/+6Vegetablity to others?
- UnFriendlyFire, on 05/20/2008, -2/+7The problem is that it may not be compatible with your bacon and tomatoes. Try downloading the latest bacon drivers and editing your //vegetable/tomato file
- fakeollie, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5Yeah, but will it blen... you know, nevermind.
- Alteran, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5That was brilliant.
