- amfantasy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+31Why can't they use Digg? it's already flooded with ubuntu news.
- jamesatdigg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I would prefer this nice ubuntu tutorials guide http://www.ubuntugeek.com
- dinostabOMG, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7A medal for you.
- vault, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6The titles on it should link you to the actual articles.
- DudleyInnocent, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Can we set tinkles here up with a hug?
- wabbiteh, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I don't mind Ubuntu news - I generally just ignore it. What irritates me is when there's non distro-specific news, and the headline reads OMG UBUNTU NEWS. It's a popular distro, yes, but that doesn't mean people should just ignore the distinction entirely :/
- baalzebub, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5spambuntu!
- arobar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You think that a card that won't run under Ubuntu is going to have drivers and work flawlessly under OSX86?
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yes. That's the point.
- kahrn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2http://www.ubuntuhq.com/rss.xml
- krahzee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thanks for the link, being newer to ubuntu than some, it's nice to have one place to start with to learn how to do something I'd never think of, rather than wait for an issue, then search out how to fix it. Sure, problem solving is a great way to learn, but there are things this site points out, that I'd have no need to do, but would simply enhance the experience.
- vault, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Get a mac or run osx86
- angrykeyboarder, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Just what we need.
Independent site # 2235 devoted to Ubuntu... - Alex2, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5This article comes off as spammy to me.
- techmaster, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Buried for being a damn drupal site. Find a real CMS and post it whenever you're done.
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3blogspam is such an overused term
if you ask me
you could bring some news from google blog (im talking about the official one) and people would label it blogspam
why not just call actual spam from blogs...spam
you dont call spam from forums forumspam
or spam from digg diggspam so why give blogs the special term - srg13, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Use ndiswrapper - it works for me (my card's native driver doesn't support WPA, but the windows driver works flawlessly). Plus, it's incredibly easy to set up - just three or four commands in the command line (although there are graphical utilities available too)
- goffy59, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Well I recently installed ubuntu along with my beloved WIndows XP and Ugly Windows Vista. And just for the record; I LOVE ubuntu. I got ventrilo installed, DIablo 2 installed, and found some programs to do my daily routine. And just for a test on how reliable WINE is. I ran diablo 2 for 24+ hours. Without any problems. Ubuntu is revolutionary and I love it. Ever since Microsoft told all their loyal customers to ***** off by releasing Windows VIsta in its unstable resource hog piece of ***** state. I'm proud to say Ubuntu will be apart of my computer activity. I'm getting used to all the required commands for updates; It will take me awhile since I'm used to having a GUI that does everything for me, but its all working out great. The ubuntu website/forum is very helpful and their tutorials are very easy to understand. I've tried Linspire(ewww), Knoppix for trouble shooting, and Rad Hat. But Ubuntu is by far my favorite!
Already loaded with applications I use on windows(GAIM/Pidgin and Firefox). Few others. Anyhow If microsoft keeps releasing ***** like Vista, I think I wont be using their upcoming products. And will stay with Windows XP pro(which is the best Window's OS ever made). I remember reading and article claiming Linux supports more hardware then any other OS. And that article was correct. Ubuntu detected everything. My Audigy works (along with the bass and treble; even if creative labs drivers kind of suck) All hardware was detected perfectly. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Great, now all the fanboys don't have to work to find what material to steal, put in their blogs, & post to Digg. They can get it all from one site.
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'm amazed. Usually diggers hate it when there's Ubuntu 'spam' here, yet when they make a separate site, they get upset. You can't have it both ways.
- adamz6969, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1nvm........
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1In other words, Digg.
- drunkwally, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I purchased a HP laptop this year. Installed ubuntu on one of the hard drives, my router's WPA2 worked out of the box. There was nothing I had to do to configure anything. Windows on the otherhand was a pain - no install disks included with my laptop - as a recovery option HP makes you burn 3 dvds to back up their crapware.
- zwaldowski, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx/Feisty_No-Fluff
- Megatog615, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2We've had this for years. It's called http://www.digg.com/linux_unix.
Joke intended. - DarkJesus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Exactly.
- arobar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Pretty sure nobody called it new... Thanks for playing though.
- defconoi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+170% of its content is to http://ubuntu-unleashed.blogspot.com goes to show a blogger.com blog kicks it's ass
- marx2k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Aaaaand it's down
EDIT Never mind - schavira, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Good. I'm sick of hearing it on Digg.
- bertdb, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5UbuntuHQ links to every new article at Ubuntugeek's site. The idea of UbuntuHQ is that you don't have to visit 53 sites every day to check them for new howto's or Ubuntu news. You can just go to UbuntuHQ and follow the links which look interesting.
- weizbox, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2because most of it inst 'news'. Im sure most don't mind the news
- DarkJesus, on 10/10/2007, -5/+4Doesn't ubuntu already have a billion sites?
- c0ldfusi0n, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Thanks, but no thanks.
- Seph7, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2So.... basically its a digg rip.
I use ubuntu but I won't be using this site just cause it fills dirty using a site where the concept was stolen from digg. - Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2so essentially its a ubuntu themed digg
- jamesatdigg, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2i don't see any news on this site this is really ubuntu news...???//
- rabidjade, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1Join the club. I couldn't get any wireless to work even with different interface programs and hacks. I went back to XP over it. No need to hack a "uber elite free" OS for very basic functions. Very far from a Microsoft replacement.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1aka diggbuntu
- gaurav, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0No RSS feed.
This is crazy! - schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -7/+3It's not a new site. Been there for quite some time.
- Ryan121, on 10/10/2007, -5/+0What is with all this Ubuntu so called news? If it gains lots of users lets us know or if there is a massive security flaw let us know because that is news.
- tunapez, on 10/10/2007, -10/+5WARNING: TROLL ALERT W/ A BITCH:
I'm about ready to ***** Ubuntu if this wireless card doesn't start working w/ WPA-PSK. Tried all the "interface" edits, have the correct driver, can connect w/ WEP, but me and work are not about to reconfigure our wifi's to accommodate Ubuntu. That's probably the best lesson of my last 8 month excursion into Linux, a lot of accommodating has to be done. Quite tiresome and expensive when comparing my time to MS's rape charge, I think I'll be leaving Linux to the IT gods and just find better anti-virus/malware detectors for MS. I'll still digg the conception, but for now I'm out...I think Mr Dell will follow suit soon. - baalzebub, on 10/10/2007, -10/+1good, now maybe all the ubuntu newbies will bookmark it and quit spamming digg with blogspam...
- bertdb, on 10/10/2007, -15/+5Because most Digg users hate Ubuntu news. :-)
