T2 SDE 7.0-rc2 "Autumn Leaves" released

t2-project.org — T2 SDE 7.0 is one of the first distributions shipping with GCC-4.2 and GlibC-2.6. The series 7 also features the two newly supported CPU architectures: AVR32 and Blackfin. T2 7.0 release comes with over 400 new packages. Binary base images are provided for x86, x86-64, PowerPC, PowerPC64 as well as SPARC64, while T2 allows cross compiling your own.

  • jdhore1, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1I may be just...Not thinking right now (It's early, i didn't get much sleep last night), but the 2 big "features" that this release is touting are *****. First, I KNOW Debian Testing, Ubuntu Gutsy, Fedora 8 and i think 1 or 2 other distros released recently are using GCC-4.2 and Glibc-2.6. Also, supporting AVR32 and Blackfin are NOT features of T2, they're just features of using the 2.6.22 kernel (again, which all 3 distros i listed are).
