linuxdevices.com — Sun revealed at JavaOne today that it is developing a Linux- and Java-based operating system for mobile phones. "JavaFX Mobile" will compete with half a dozen flavors of mobile Linux, Windows Mobile, Symbian, RIM's Blackberry, and Apple's iPhone. It will available for license under the GPL.
