- raynevandunem, on 05/16/2008, -0/+1This makes sense. I don't have much to say about XO (nice looking laptop, set a hardware trend that continues to the present, became politicized in so many ways, what can I say), but I can say that the Sugar DE and platform can be better worked on and developed by a project independent of OLPC rather than remain tied to the hardware project and the unnecessary drama that has ensued about it from all directions.
Also, new ideas can be implemented into the Sugar platform that may not be available in the current XO's form due to physical limitations. Hopefully, the SugarLabs project will gain more clientele (corporate, educational, etc.) to carry and cater to it. - YodaJones, on 05/16/2008, -1/+1Screw OLPC. ASUS Rocks! Eat ***** XO.
