- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -31/+311What's Linux? Anyway, what, if anything, does this have to do with the iPhone?
- smiley2billion, on 10/11/2007, -9/+218I'm pretty sure trying to install Photoshop in Linux yields the same error message.
- Aedilus, on 10/11/2007, -13/+150I think it's pretty dang funny.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -17/+146Reminds me of when i had to cancel aol dialup for a friend, i called in and tried to cancel and they said " whats your reason for canceling" i just said " i run linux can't use aol" they said " why don't you upgrade your operating system" , then i said " why dont you, upgrade yours instead"
- Botanicus, on 10/11/2007, -4/+97Easter Eggs are best best kinds of eggs.
- xerus, on 10/11/2007, -8/+83The next person to say pwned gets pistol whipped.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -10/+81a sick joke would be wrapping some TNT round a cat, that sir is a easter egg
- Drewboy64, on 10/11/2007, -7/+70Somebody has a cruel sense of humor...
- techweenie1, on 10/11/2007, -11/+64Bring out the GIMP!
- VMark, on 10/11/2007, -6/+56Cool story, Hansel.
- zushiba, on 10/11/2007, -6/+53Sick joke? Are you actually offended by this?
- 47knight, on 10/11/2007, -12/+52Not a sick joke, but an awesome joke!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -22/+59Over react much?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+39wow you sure showed that call center guy who's boss.
- alwaysmc2, on 10/11/2007, -5/+38To clarify, it should be "Is this some kind of sick joke, Adobe?", because Adobe is a noun of direct address, like in the sentence "How are you, Frank?" But come on, Grammar Nazis, (note the noun of direct address) use your noggin, figure out what it is supposed to be, and deal.
- LowROI, on 10/11/2007, -4/+36It's personifying Adobe, so it should have a comma. "Bob, can you hear me?" would be an example. "Close the door, Teresa" etc.
- Battlemaster1, on 10/11/2007, -5/+36Just add to dictionary and suck it up.
- donsherio, on 10/11/2007, -1/+30... its not Photoshop, its InDesign, another Adobe product used for publishing and layout design. I use it for Yearbook publishing.
- matperk, on 10/11/2007, -7/+35Hey Farva -- What's the name of that new Apple Phone Thingy?
- brycelb, on 10/11/2007, -5/+31Maybe a sense of humor should be part of the next kernel.
- barbobot, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26He's so hot right now
- themuffinman, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26Captain obvious strikes again!
- K3ITHK, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27The problem with linux is that it doesn't come with AOL.
- clackerd, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25pretty sure he was making a joke there, and i, for one, found it humorous.
- Jugalator, on 10/11/2007, -12/+35Haha, it has to be hard coded into the app. Windows is nowhere near Linux in spelling. :)
Funny to see that joke go the other way once in a while. - MadOtaku, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24At least he can use the right reply button...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+29If it was the other way around you know the Linux fanboys would be going ga-ga over it.
- jman2807, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23Shenanigans?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22This Adobe is blacknot.
- Konrad9, on 10/11/2007, -3/+23Sick joke?
Someone seems to lack a sense of humor. - boonecafe, on 10/11/2007, -12/+32roflcopter
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21Capitalisation is the difference between "I helped my uncle Jack off a horse" and "I helped my uncle jack off a horse".
- mashw, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21Exactly only someone completely obsessed with their operating system would find this sick.
- KMartSheriff, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20***** THE RIAA!!
- BehemothDan, on 10/11/2007, -7/+24"I hate Adobe. Ever since they purchased Macromedia, everything simple has gone down the drain."
Are you joking? Your comment must be satire. Because anyone who does any online development, or anyone with half a clue, realizes that what has come out of the Macromedia purchase has been great. The development process has become ridiculously painless.
Blame your computer, not Flash. Considering Adobe still left the Macromedia team in charge of developing Flash, you have no basis for your complaint. - 2kude, on 10/11/2007, -8/+24Then Digg and most of the internet wouldn't exist, you ***** moron.
- Jowsley, on 10/11/2007, -5/+20The Gimp's sleeping!
- jbhannah, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Hey, you have to be tough with the AOL guys, if you don't give them a "f**k you, you're doing this now or I'm coming down there to kick your ass" attitude from the start you get absolutely nowhere with them. Speaking from experience, when AOL was charging my grandmother for both dial-up AND "broadband" (which was bs, 256k) and she wanted to cancel and switch to Qwest.
- VanD, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17Very funny to me.
- seanc6610, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13and then i said, "that's no saint bernard, that's my grandmother!"
- leksdraven, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12It made me chuckle. And I'm using Linux right now.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Godwin's law.
- mzwaterski, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11I'm sorry sir, I didn't realize that this was a conference call...
- moofer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Yeah... I think we got it.
- GRVeee2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9OK NOW THAT WE HAVE THE PUNCTUATION OF THE HEADLINE LETS MOVE ON TO THE ARTICLE, SHALL WE!?!?!?!?!?
- andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -5/+14Overreact. One word. YOU'RE AN IGNORANT ***** WHO HAS NO BUISINESS LIVING ON THIS EARTH WITH YOUR IMPROPER SPELLING AND YOUR INSENSITIVE SCREENAME AND YOUR NONDESCRIPT USERPIC OF SOME FACE YOU *****!
How's that for an overreaction? - Locke2053, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I would say that's the best part about Linux.
- TrinaryWyrm, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12I don't understand, all big animation studios use some unix/linux distribution on their monster workhorse computers to run big ferrari-priced programs like Houdini/etc. - wouldn't it be more profitable to Adobe (Microsoft under-the-table deals withstanding) if they made their programs cross-platform?
It's obviously not piracy that's the issue, either. That stuff happens consistently, regardless of the platform.
I would also expect users to be More worried about these type of takeovers like Macromedia had - regardless of how they feel it's improved their job capabilities as a designer. If a company like Adobe was being worked in the background by a company like Microsoft, we're talking about some seriously bad ownage on the software competition. Look how insane Microsoft is getting about DirectX10 and their new video games, if you want an example.
Technically, if we let Microsoft have Adobe (and Apple is completely included in that equation, do some homework), then we may as well let Bush takeover Congress, and the Judicial system to boot...
No way! - MacGyver2210, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10***** amazing comment
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+16Good, most of digg and most of the internet are worthless
