SSH between the handset and the base station is OK but should be firewalled beyond the base station towards the ethernet. From there, standard VoIP protocols or the one used by Skype (UDP/IP based) take over. I don't think Skype uses SSH tunneling between host and nodes because SSH is not on my XP and Skype works just fine. - samueldockery, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Yay! They included a picture in this article.
