- gnuvince, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I'd be very interested to read a secure programming guide by the OpenBSD folks.
- itistoday, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Just to clarify my above post; the methodologies in this book even apply to windows programming.
- itistoday, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7@tlogank:
That shows your ignorance. Just because you have no interest in it in no way reflects what other people think. That should be obvious, eh?
Personally this article has topped my morning digg favorites because it packs a LOT of useful, not-very-obvious information. It's an absolute must read for any programmer designing complex software that deals with any sort of media or database. If M$ employees had read this when they first started writing windows, it wouldn't have all the security issues it has.
Thanks bonlebon for posting this! - GreatBunzinni, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It's a very interesting read, specially for all of us who are starting out at programming. Digged.
- drigz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1tlogank: Maybe, being an intelligent man, and having made the site, he knows what digg users like?
I can only speak for myself, but I can't imagine something like that influencing me... - grapetonic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://www.dwheeler.com/secure-programs/Secure-Programs-HOWTO.pdf
- itanshi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0question, if we get enough people using this site will old news consist of something merely 5 hours before?
point is, its an interesting find and many will find it useful, otherwise please feel free to suit yourself - itanshi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0meh people sure like conspiracies. Even if something 'appears' to be wrong they will jump all over it like its broken etc. maybe that should be a new form of flattery.
the only way is 'to be better' and to do so is 'to do better' and influencing others is a choice those being influenced make. besides, saying he is influencing is a way for you to influence us. what makes it right for me to be influenced by either of you? make a better system or make suggestions, but befoe ya make suggestions, research thoroughly so you don't come off as just a boring run of th emill conspiracy theorist. this is a democracy, we are free to vote for our own slavery. this is a sad truth which you may have to accept.
all in all this is cute, really is, mm - rasterbator, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1tlogank is probably really Alex using another alias! If you want to block a user, click on the circle-strikethrough next to his comment.
- Tricky, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1...that happened to another article too. WTF?
- dwight, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Nice, a copyright date of 2003. Reported as old news.
- tlogank, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3I just did it in 4 articles...go back and check. They are just all appearing now more because they were all 4 dugg by Kevin and it was just funny to me that 99% of his diggs make frontpage within an hour or 2 (it's true, check his profile). So don't get so upset..it was meant in fun...sheesh.

***** you, *****. - craigosbourne, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2is there anyway that tlogank can be blocked, she / he .... most probley a he but where going to say she is posting random comments that have nothing to do with the subject for all the things that kevin has digged,
my only suggestion on the book is that they make it a PDF , much easier to read - Tricky, on 10/12/2007, -12/+65, 4, 3, 2, 1, buried.
Again, not everyone diggs because of Kevin Rose. And by "not everyone", I mean "almost no one." - Hungryhaney, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2@tlogank: So?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -15/+0SHUTTTTTTTTTTT Up tlogank kkthx
dugg mirror http://herizorientalrugs.net/Mirrors.aspx - tlogank, on 10/12/2007, -25/+10This article will make it to the frontpage for 2 reasons...not because everyone here thinks it is so interesting or cool...but because Kevin Rose dugg it and because it has the word Linux in the title.
- llbbl, on 10/12/2007, -21/+3!!!Linux OMGWTFBBQ !!!
