Review: Linux Mint 5 - KDE Edition

raiden.net — Overall, I liked Mint 5 KDE, especially with the added speed and upgraded default non-compiz eyecandy. It's good and stable, and works well with everything I could throw at it from a new and normal user's collective standpoints.

  • acirilo, on 09/25/2008, -0/+1This is a great distro.... I had a free that took his inspiron 600m to the "Geek Squad" to get it repaired. It would not boot up. The guys told him... New hard drive and another Windows XP because he had lost his cd. In other words--more money that the laptop is worth.

    I installed Linux Mint 5 on it.. runs perfect..no hard drive issues... and of course no cost. He can do everything he needed.. watch movies, surf, IM, image editor, etc.

    We just gained another Linux fan.
