- ngageguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Love this quote from the site "at past robot shows, runs on a 240MHz CPU and has 32MB of memory, so we're assuming he's not Vista-ready." ROTFLMAO. Plus the other one about the price.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13@Agret: You just linked to a different article. If this guy wants to write about this in his blog, and if he wants to submit it to digg, and if it gets enough diggs to get front paged.... then SHUT the ***** up.
The blogger added his own commentary, some witty one liners that were enjoyable to read, and has contributed FAR more to digg then you and your blog hating. Blogs are part of digg, get over it. - Grimdotdotdot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12It's a bit short for a 'real-life' Gundam robot, isn't it?
- Grimdotdotdot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7They should build one that runs on Windows and one that runs MacOS, then stick them in a ring together.
It would be "THE ULTIMATE FIGHT OF THE OPERATING SYSYEMS-ARO!" and then we could stop arguing about them once and for all. - CBTF, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Linux? Gundam? Geek ahoy.
- zachgc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'll take the two story tall version please!
- dj_sea2005, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5im afraid it never changes facial expressions...
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I so want to buy me a robot, mainly to chase my dog around with.
all the fun of tormenting my dog without any of the effort - hackwrench, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4But can it do facial expressions?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superior_Defender_Gundam_Force - edzieba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4More like 'Real life Labor', seeing as the designer of the robot's (and the other HRP-seires robots) bodywork designed the Mechs for Patlabor (Yutaka Izubuchi).
- gallamine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yea, I'm a bit peeved that Digg 3.0 got rid of the 'Robots' category. The link now redirects to "Hardware", but then others put robot news into Gadgets or Software.
Let's lobby to get the 'Robots' category back! Email feedback@digg.com and ask them to give us back the 'Robots' category. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?
- oringo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ever heard of NetBSD, linux-fanboy? Go ahead, bury me. Some ppl like to read comments with -100 dig just out of curiosity
- carpespasm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3shoot, i'll digg it up, imagine if you really did have a large group of these things working toward a common task. i'd like to see what they could do
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Video of the robot in motion from the creator's website.

Wouldn't exactly call this one spam, but I don't understand why you got buried for providing the original article WHICH INCLUDES VIDEO! - sembetu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1RAYIWFTFSV, um, i mean... Reported as yawn, I am waiting for the full size version.
For some reason, I feel out of sync today - kapoploo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I guess many Japanese say this is not Gundam at all, this is cool though.
- Aniphx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I honestly thought it was a Veritech when I first saw it. Either way, I think it's kinda cool. Wonder what it will be capable of.
(whoops, wrong spot. Supposed to be replying to the comment below this one. Sorry...) - roflcopterdown, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1It strikes me more as Briarios from Appleseed.
- VincentIII, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2That thing is more like a labor (from Patlabor) then a Gundam. Unless its the midget edition one.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Name this robot "UBUNTU" and it will possess the incredible power of automatically making the front page.

Should have refreshed the page before submitting, xChrisK beat me to it by 20 minutes. - eviltofu, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0It looks more like a Battle Suit from BubbleGum Crisis.
- DarkLaughingMan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1In other news the US deemed Japan as a terrorist threat and demand that the Japanese dismantle their robots.
- l0rdn1k0n, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1running linux?
no *****. it doesn't have enough memory or processing power to feed the bloatware that is windows.
it'd have to run linux.
i mean for crying out loud they've got linux on an IPOD which is just a hard drive with a simple firmware interface, yet people are surprised when linux runs on something like this? linux runs on almost everything, cell phones and others BY DEFAULT. linux is necessary. period. - Agret, on 10/12/2007, -16/+1Direct Link:
