- ssam, on 10/12/2008, -3/+14there is nothing wrong with forks. they just let people play with modifications that the mainline does not want. if any of the modifications are good they can be absorbed back into the mainline. for example GCC and EGCS or have a look at how the linux kernel is developed. This is how opensource software works.

- daengbo, on 10/13/2008, -2/+9It's odd that I can just look at a Digg headline and know whether the link goes to BoycottNovell without even rolling over the link.

- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -2/+5Oh god, a fork, what is the open source world coming to.
***** this RMS fanboy *****, I'm sick of all you whiny losers crying every time someone or something you don't like benefits the open-source community (be it Microsoft or Firefox 3 with its EULA) - 3242130193, on 10/12/2008, -5/+6The Black Sheep of the open source community.
- santasing, on 10/13/2008, -6/+4Looking forward to patent laden Novell "enhancements".
Novell has stopped being a FOSS company and will just do anything in its power to represent itself as a "protected" version of Linux. Just the firing of so much of its staff to support Mono development is proof of this. - wheel3r6, on 10/13/2008, -8/+3I use Ubuntu ,xp for work (SORRY), Yesterday i got Linux Format mag from my local newsagent, IT came with a DVD of Open SUSE 11.0. After reading this i will give Mandriva 2009 & puppy linux ago , As they are on the DVD too.
Novell has turned their backs on us all ,BUT ONE M$. ITS a BIG shame NOVELL. IF you sleep with Dogs , sooner or later you will get FLEAS too NOVELL. A FEW years ago i liked Novell, i hope in the future,i can support Novell Again. (PLEASE CHANGE YOUR WAYS NOVELL)
