- Philluminati, on 10/11/2007, -23/+132No one gives a ***** about Linspire. Their CEO is a *****. We told them not to do it but they were stupid and did it anyway. Microsoft isn't interested in sharing code, as they keep proving. You should disrespect Microsoft for their constant abuse of power. And there is nothing better than linking back to a digg comment thread. Dugg
- fpcyber, on 10/11/2007, -6/+60What a poorly written article.
- allywilson, on 10/11/2007, -7/+53...Banana's are actually coconuts.
That's how much sense you just made. - jason469, on 10/11/2007, -3/+34Microsoft 1
Linspire 0
Wait does anyone even care about Linspire? - greatblackowl, on 10/11/2007, -0/+31Are you trying to point out that Schestowitz submits (almost exclusively) anti-Microsoft news?
And? - TroubleInMind, on 10/11/2007, -1/+32If Novell and SCO and Linspire were on a bus, and that bus went over a cliff, would anyone care other than the bus owner?
- dburanen, on 10/11/2007, -11/+41I feel confident Mark Shuttleworth will never ever sign one of these dastardly deals with MS. Yet another reason why using Ubuntu is wonderful.
- NewChar, on 10/11/2007, -7/+35Yes, he should have consulted with some random guy on the internet.
- mighty_mouth, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20Give me half a billion dollars and I promise I won't sign any deals with MS either.
- naio, on 10/11/2007, -11/+29Buried as inaccurate and blogspam. Boycottnovell.com has no credibility as it is run by schestowitz, the FUD Master. And by the quality of writing, illiterate as well.
- geoken, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21What language are you speaking?
- cloudyprison, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Hell, I know my day is ruined if I don't follow the Zen of Philluminati.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+17Oh, here's a link to the Linux advocacy group on Usenet, which good old gnu/schestowitz has single-handedly ruined with his crapflooding. The regulars there even reported him to his ISP to try to get him to stop.

now that sounds like a unbiased news source if ever i saw one - thedreaming1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14Microsoft's message: "You have no choice, Use Microsoft Windows".
- taurustiger, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Hidden agenda...that you were able to plainly look at. Jesus Christ! Is it International Dumbass Day today?
- Tobark, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14*points at linspire and in Nelson voice*
Ha ha - Stan57, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Thats MS 2 Linspire 0 Remember the name lindows fiasco
- deadlikeoscar, on 10/11/2007, -6/+17Nothing better to do than to follow a guy you say you hate around the Interwebs and waste your time talking about how much you don't like him? When if he didn't exist you would, in fact, have nothing better to do?
- mighty_mouth, on 10/11/2007, -5/+15Being interested in certain subjects more than other subjects does not make you untrustworthy.
- Phocion55, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11I was seriously expecting to see the word "doodoohead" appear somewhere in your comment.
- quiksliver, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13please do
- cbreaker, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15You're the one playing dumb. Just because he posts those types of submissions doesn't mean he's untrustworthy. Biased, perhaps, but it's the diggers that can decide whether or not they are worth reading, and some of them have made it to the front page. I don't see the problem.
- mighty_mouth, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Wait, I thought this article was about Microsoft and Linux. Why are you bringing up Apple?
- daftman, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11Notice how his digg is inversely proportional to yours? That should be a big hint to quit posting.
- Koppie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7"Poorly written" in this case =
(a) confusing as to what it's even trying to say, and
(b) incorrect.
Let's look at the logic flow here:
(1) MS signs deal with Linspire
(2) MS claims it's not bound by GPL3
(3) Therefore something bad will happen to Linspire?
I don't see the connection. Is schestowitz claiming that Microsoft will turn around and start suing the company it just signed a partnership with? There are way too many logic jumps to reach a conclusion like that. - xst4t1kx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7The devs behind Linspire should have known better.
- MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7deadlikeoscar,
I'm sure he could fill his time following Mac advocates that he hates instead. - MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8As if Apple has anything to do with this post. *rollseyes*
- ordminute, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Ciao Linspire. Was nice while it lasted.
(BTW.. thanks for CNR) - vokiel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I don't get it... please stay on topic thanks
- schestowitz, on 10/11/2007, -10/+15Written in haste. I could redo it.
- Aero347, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Towlie:"Don't forget to bring a towel!"
- somegeologist, on 10/11/2007, -7/+12Boycott Novell? Is there anyone who still uses Novell to join in on this crusade? I think Roy needs a job, he obviously has way too much time on his hands.
- cbreaker, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Lots, and lots, of people and corporations still use Novell software. Netware is still really good, and still has much easier file server permissions administration over anything else. Novell is a big contributer to the Open Source community, even if they do have some dumb executives.
- Monk22, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5that must hurt coming from someone named bacon monster
- Hayl, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7While I do sympathize, it is their own fault. Dugg down because the article could have been better written by an invertebrate.
- thebaconmonster, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6why do people constantly say "Digg me Down"... you sound like a ***** moron
- gdean2323, on 10/11/2007, -11/+15http://digg.com/users/schestowitz/news/submitted
- robdiggity, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9Agreed. Some might argue (and they'd be right) it might even make you a subject matter expert. However expertise does not preclude bias. And further, bias does not preclude trust. Let's everyone all just relax, and try to hold off our fanboy demons.
- vokiel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Why the ... do you even bother posting this?
- MattS, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Dugg for the comments made thus far - not the article itself.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Holy *****. Good ol' roy must have no life at all. What a tool.... How sad. :(
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+8Microsoft should be stripped (of its user base), bound (by antitrust laws), and whipped (by Linux) until it bleeds red (ink) from its back (office).
- mighty_mouth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Because the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
oh, wait.... - CuCullin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Considering you can use the GPL V2 or V3, at your own discretion..... howzat?
- brianary, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6Excellent straw man attack! There's no chance this was a view shared by a large segment of people.
- MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4iamlutheran
Why did you bother to post and why did you have to bring the Mac OS into this fiasco? Like enough anti-mac people don't have ammunition as it is. Even as a Mac advocate, people like you give Macs a bad name. - MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Um...not that it matters, but I've used Macs since 1987 (Mac Plus) and had used my brother-in-law's Lisa back in 1983.
To just blatantly slam someone else's desktop preference makes you just as bad as those slamming Apple. There's a lot of people who prefer Linux. More power to them. Lots of people prefer Windows as well. Cool beans brother. I stopped being a Mac shill a long time ago. Apple doesn't need my help to gain marketshare. Maybe you should just let people make up their own minds..hmmmmm? - djGentoo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm rethinking doing that openSUSE 10.3 review...
