Linux on the rise in mobile phones

linuxdevices.com — By 2012, Linux will ship annually in 128 million mobile phones, or about 8.8 percent of all handsets sold, forecasts Informa in a new research report. The report also forecasts a bright outlook for other open source mobile technologies, including Java, WebKit, and others.

  • Dankoozy, on 10/16/2007, -0/+3I hope at least some of these 128m will be actual decent phones with a full keyboard, wifi, etc. not some poorly designed ugly clamshell that runs some proprietary UI on top of the linux kernel

    also a linux satphone would be nice :)
