- Psygnosis, on 08/25/2008, -0/+12A robot that runs on Linux, fascinating.
In other news, water is wet. - iFrikkenR, on 08/24/2008, -1/+10I could be mistaken but don't most robots these days run linux. Even those crazy DARPA challenge bots

- polumrak, on 08/25/2008, -1/+6So it's a PC that runs an application and has wheels and cameras attached to it.
- YodaJones, on 08/25/2008, -0/+4Dugg for robots with lasers.
- scy1192, on 08/25/2008, -0/+4Oh boy, it runs Linux.
- fenderdude3, on 08/25/2008, -2/+6I need to go pee so bad!
- DforSpiD, on 08/25/2008, -1/+4The French?
- neko, on 08/25/2008, -0/+3If you like it so much, why don't you submit it to the Microsoft category. I can't wait to see this robot driven using Excel!
- harvydent, on 08/25/2008, -2/+5Its sounds so cute................. but really, who would trust a french robot?
- synystar, on 08/25/2008, -1/+4I'm looking forward to "laser-equipped" robots that run on Linux. Open-source software will never have been more appealing to me than the day I have the chance to legally modify that code.
- tacojohn48, on 08/25/2008, -0/+3If it was designed by the French, it will just surrender.
- benitojuarez, on 08/25/2008, -0/+2Macros are a powerful thing
- mynameistux, on 08/25/2008, -0/+2working on it now.
- inactive, on 08/25/2008, -0/+2So they talk a good talk but turn tail and zip away when the battle starts?
- Singularitarian, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1A robot needs two cameras (like eyes) attached to a neck. It will be important in robotics algorithms for the robot to move its cameras around to new, different angles to get a good look at something that it is trying to identify or understand. One camera would suffice, but the neck is essential.
- Nicoon, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1OOOH. When I first read the title, I thought they were talking about the other kind of robots (as in missiles) and it sounded a bit like overkill.
- LeviTheSmith, on 08/25/2008, -2/+3You're going to get Dugg down :D
- Atomic1fire, on 08/26/2008, -0/+1BSOD takes on a whole new meaning
- motters, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1Still too expensive to be mass market, but moving in the right direction.
- scy1192, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1knowing the Open Source community, they'd recode the whole OS to force it to hunt and destroy all Windows and Mac PCs.
- clownx, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1That was almost the greatest news title ever, second only to "Skywalkers cross Han Solo".
- benbrooks101, on 08/25/2008, -1/+2Well you wouldn't want a laser-guided robot running Windblows would you...
- valkyries, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1At that price you should just go out and by a FIRST robotics kit...
- tacojohn48, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1I was so hoping you were going to go with hunt Sarah Conner.
- KillPenguin, on 08/25/2008, -2/+3It sounds like a mad lib.
- DemonWasp, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1Pew pew pew for freedom.
- extirpater, on 08/25/2008, -0/+1This is definitely "killer" linux app!
- mynameistux, on 08/25/2008, -2/+1beat me too it.
- mynameistux, on 08/25/2008, -3/+2ZOMGLASERSPEWPEWPEWPEW!
- BossKey, on 08/25/2008, -4/+1In Socialist France, Linux runs laser-guided robots.
- TwoKill, on 08/25/2008, -9/+5Hey you know what, I really don't give a ***** that it uses linux to run. What I really want to know about is the very awesome sounding thing that linux is helping run. I'm sick of these descriptions that make it sound like the article is just gonna be another linux fan boy article instead of telling me any actual information, because you know what it runs windows too.
