- subxero37, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27Is there a way for the community to see those files that have already been uploaded? This is a community project, and I think that if some of the wallpapers suit a single person, that they should be available to that person regardless of whether or not it's included in the final release of KDE 4.
- KAMiKAZOW, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17> why are people digging this?
Maybe because "people" want artists to know about this. (At least that's why I dugg it) - Optimaximal, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12If linux distros are anything to go by, it's all about the simply-yet-abstract shapes in neutral colours... Leave the ladybugs to OSX and the hillsides to Microsoft.
- kazamx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I just took a deep breath........oh now I let it out again
- zwaldowski, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9SVG Graphics, y'know, abstract designs. They're all the rage.
- neau, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I will blink now.
- yraffah, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I will try to submit some photos
- gotamd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8People (like me) are also digging it because it's a great idea.
- Philluminati, on 10/10/2007, -7/+15why are people digging this? It's just an upload page. Where can we see people's entries?
- NewChar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I will digg up each of these comments.
- HonoredMule, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5"We welcome any type of image, 3D art, vectors, photos, and pixmaps.
Note though that because this contest is for wallpapers, we do need big images.
So sizes equal or bigger than 1900x1200 are a bonus. We also appreciate
very much if you send different resolutions of the same wallpaper."
I don't know where you're seeing "Photos preferred." - sirdaz, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8That would be the childish thing to do.
- jordn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5@ Sl4sher
you sir, are a retard. - kazamx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3This is just really cool. It would be really exciting to have my wallpaper built in and available to every KDE use
- c0ldfusi0n, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It's a shame that we can't see the entries. I was looking for a new wallpaper.
- anonadmin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This does not give enough information. Does some one have a link to another page that maybe gives more info? Is there a prize for being the winner? What kind of images are wanted? I do photography, most of it is the human form (Naked pics for those who did not get it)
I would be interested but I would need more information. - gotamd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2There are a lot of sites that have excellent wallpapers. I'd recommend you look at interfacelift or even deviantart.
- kazamx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2 Hot girls, hot girls, hot girls
- mrwhitethc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I for one support your use of 2 naked women in any way possible
- anonadmin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1First, you have no idea what I look like. Second, well if I am running the camera I am not in the picture. ;)
I did a great shoot with two women this spring, There are a couple of shots from that one that would make a great background! Not nasty, just tasteful. - kazamx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1www.gnome-look.org/
- Darkhacker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Although I completely support nudity as tasteful art, this is a family operating system and there are a lot of parents who wouldn't consider it appropriate for young children. Corporate managers might not be too thrilled with it either if a business is implementing this for their workstations. Wouldn't be long before a fema-nazi (no offense ladies) complains how it is disrespectful to women and files a sexual harassment lawsuit. Plus you would need the permission of the women in the picture. I think they should know if they are going to be viewed by millions of users or not. Especially creepy Linux nerds like us. ;-)
- Ramble, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5Let me guess, it'll be grass or a leaf or something similar to that.
- chelhydra, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Well, let's hope they don't use your photos.
I mean, who wants to have you naked on the desktop? - RockinRoel, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4I already found a 1288x966 one:

(SFW) - aibotca, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It's great to see this sort of competition opened by KDE, it gives users of the chance to contribute to such a great project graphically instead of by programming.
Since the submissions for this competition don't seem to be open: If your looking for some good user wallpapers for KDE you can check out kdelook.org - Iam9376, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Pictures or it never happened! ;)
- keyo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It's not really the kind of wallpaper to be default in an operating system. However I would love to see you put some up in kde-look.org.
- keyo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I have been trying to make a nice SVG since it will work on all screen resolutions, I am doing the ocean at night with the water reflecting the moon. It's my first time with inkscape hopefully i can get it polished enough for kde-look.
- keyo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0it's http://kde-look.org by the way. A great site
- Predater, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1"with Photos preferred" wtf??? Apart from Photos, what else will be acceptable but may not preferred?
- anshuman, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2not much of Kde fan at all. but i recently liking plasma development , i think kde 4 will be the one which will stop making it look like WM made by some kid playing with crayons. So although I am gnome-fanboi ... Good Luck to KDE , its kinda win-win situation for linux anyway :D .
- morphir, on 10/10/2007, -19/+3KDE4 is gonna be rated 'adult' because it's porn baby!!
- Sl4sher, on 10/10/2007, -22/+1/me sends 2560x2048 shots of *****
