- daftman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13So? Is there anything wrong with that?
- omarciddo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Uh, dude, something can look good while not copying a Mac. I mean, but Mac looks great, sure, but holy *****.
- 2kude, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11Holy *****, I'm being dugg down by the Apple mafia!
Not everything copies your sacred OS. Get the ***** over it. It's just that. A ***** OS. Grow up and find something better to do. Honestly. - 2kude, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Funny, I didn't notice a resemblance.
- yaccin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6yes, i am gay. and no, i did not intent to have that on the screenshots, the website/irc channel where just opened when i took the screenshots and i did not really think about closing/hiding them first... anyways... why i should i have to hide that im gay? theres a) nothing wrong about that and b) i did not choose to become gay by myself i just am and theres nothing i (or anybody else) can do about that :P
- lavchan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5a. So what if he did.
b. Why did you bring it up at all if you don't care. - Cenobite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I don't understand the point of your comment. You're saying that the guy (or girl) put a reference to being gay into his/her screenshots? I can see that myself, but thanks for taking the time out of your otherwise productive day to point out the blatantly obvious.
- championchap, on 11/05/2007, -1/+6OH EM GEE!! THE TASKBAR IS IN THE MIDDLE!!
Yeah, Apple don't own that. It's nothing like the dock. - chrisdawson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Does anybody else care?
- Klowner, on 11/05/2007, -0/+4Aye, CDE had a dock for many many years.

http://wolfnix.net/tmp/k4/img/screenshot3.png - yaccin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3but those _are_ oxygen icons :P
- jonesin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I would digg this, but there's a complete lack of documentation on his website detailing what to do with the various files he provided in order to make it look this way.
- chetanthaker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3How do I install this thing !? I could just manage to get the splash screen working ! Can someone please help ?
- stmiller, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Extract the contents of the 'all files' package.
$ tar xvzf K4.tar.gz
Then you'll have to drop a terminal, and:
execute the python script as root:
$ sudo python oxygen-icons.py
choose 1 to download
when finished downloading, press 1 to install icons
then choose 1 to remove temporary folder.
Then when that is through, open kcontrol (type kcontrol as normal user in terminal) and go to Appearance> Icons> and choose Oxygen.
In kcontrol you should be able to import the other components as well. Theme>import, etc. You might have to extract the included K4 theme to its own folder to import in kcontrol. - thepxc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Not-default Gnome ain't that different than regular Gnome because it can't be. And I hope you know that Ubuntu != default Gnome.
- yaccin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i dont think its better, it just looks like normal kicker... but the best thing on kde is, if you dont like it, then simply change it the way you like it ;)
- pingveno, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That's not really an official mockup. The Oxygen people were just giving Internet users a look at the state of the Oxygen theme/style so it could be critiqued. Some changes were suggested, so everyone will have to wait for the next preview comes out.
- angrykeyboarder, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Well that was short and sweet. 404s up the wazoo.
- UKsHaDoW, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2http://wolfnix.net/tmp/k4/img/screenshot.png Gaygeeks. :P
- puelocesar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3A theme more like this: http://pinheiro-kde.blogspot.com/2007/09/ok-its-time-to-show-somthing-more.html would be welcome too ;)
- sin2051, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Looks pretty nice. Would be great to see a Qt theme to go with it, though.
- pooptaster, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3You can get sort of close to that with the domino theme. I'm not using the oxygen icons, but that would make it look even closer. example: http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/7687/200709090151071280x800sps4.png
Lookup greymod domino if you like it. - XVampireX, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3You know you can at least be more original, don't use the Domino style, that's not original, and your theme doesn't look like KDE4's oxygen style...
- zkyken, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Is there anybody can teach me how to install it. Thanks.
- rayblasdel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1While I agree that if you want the K4 look you should upgrade to K4. That way to can take advantage of the new feature in the new beta.
I have to say I was a bit scared of the screens previewing the theme. I'm gay, but when I'm creating screenshots, I at least close my gay dating site browser windows. Not to mention the taskbar contains several personal IM and IRC windows. - Sairgem, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1So people are idiots for wanting the look of KDE 4, while keeping a stable desktop, instead of running a BETA. I see... You remind me why I hate reading Digg comments.
- schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -5/+6Done this a while ago. KDE4 is *beautiful*. Can't wait to see the whole package rather than just components of it.
- regeya, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Meh. People bitched about KDE being too cluttered and too behind the times, and so when KDE is set to blow everything else away, it's too 'Web 2.0'.
To me, that mockup lacks a proper amount of contrast, but that's my own personal preference. - morphie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That's not the official mockup. This is:
http://nuno-icons.com/images/estilo/new%20style%20big%20small%20window.png
It's still ugly, but you get the picture. - morphie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ghe, even KDE3 looks more like KDE4 than KDE4 does.
- PhonicUK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Helloooo Contrast? Where are youuuuu?
- GeckoSlayer, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Look in screenshot.png... Crazy-ass IRC channel
- dragoonex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I think that theme looks great. Dolphin is looking good as well.
- ayeroxor, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2"K4 - KDE4 look-alike theme package for kde 3!"
You know it's too late for yourself when that looks like someone spelled "idea" with a K... - edebiyat, on 12/31/2007, -0/+0That way to can take advantage of the new feature in the new beta.
I have to say I was a bit scared of the screens previewing the theme. I'm gay, but when I'm creating screenshots, I at least close my gay dating site browser windows. Regards,http://www.anarsist.org/ - sepelester, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Looks like the poster hangs out at a gay dating site. Check out konqueror in the third screenshot ;)

- kolakutusu, on 09/26/2008, -0/+0thanks http://www.onlineflashgames.org http://www.bid-directory.net
- computergee, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3It looks good, althought like XVampireX said, the icons don't look like oxygen. I'm installing it soon, maybe I'll get some screenshots up.
- canthraxp, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Get Steve Job's dick out of your mouth, THEN talk.
- ghoch, on 02/07/2008, -0/+0You are right!

- Survivor303, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1why somebody want this theme for kde3? why not use 4 or waiting its stable release.
- muffinmanpoo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Clearly CDE was copied from OSX. By psychics.
