- dotwaffle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ubuntu is the only distribution that I consider these days when installing - it's not just a linux distribution, it has a decent philosophy behind it - and it's suitably debranded so that if you don't like something, and no-one will do anything about it, you can do it yourself as the licence is completely open.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's been #1 on distrowatch for months ..that's probably what they're judging that on.
- nubtard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice to see some of his thoughts on Ubuntu. With that attitude I think the distro is here to stay.

on the left side there's links for a google vid of a Mark shuttleworth lecture at a university. There's also the Shuttlerworth funded tv show "Go Open" episode 1-13 on torrent. Mark is interviewed in one of the episodes.. i believe episode 3 or 4 but don't hold me to it.
By the way..all the torrents are legally distributable and are under a creative commons license. - ctbfourone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The interviewer is more interested in himself than Mark. Really a bad interview. It would be nice to se something a bit more in-depth and detailed.
- frem001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice to see a south african making a difference *holds head up high for a change*

Sanctimony won't make apps run without crashing, nor will hating Bill Gates extra-hard. Linux people need to get that through their thick skulls. While I find Linux to be a frustrating OS, that's nothing compared to how disgusted I am with Linux cultists and their psychological problems.
Frankly, I wouldn't care if the distro came from a bunch of Satanic necrophiliacs if it actually worked and supported my hardware.
Fat chance. - m1tk4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ubuntu - the "leading" linux distribution? I guess this is how hype is made.
- HenryTarling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mark is a great guy, He had a lot of time for the people at lug radio live 2005, I had a long talk with him and He is a really down to earth type of guy with great views and philosophy on the people and world around him. On the linux side of things a number of the debian team at the lug radio live 2005 show had only good things to say about mark and feel that ubuntu is helping debian rather than being a side project that takes away from debian so that's got to be good stuff. A side note about lug radio live the linspire team didn't get a look in Mark ruled the stage all the way :)
- Jeds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Somewhat interesting although a bit short.
- eridius, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I find it quite amusing how the description here sounds like something out of the Uncyclopedia.
