Dear Loved One:
By now you probably already know that I am having an affair with the youngest of your daughters. It’s not like I planned this to happen, but I couldn’t help it, she is younger, sexier, prettier and easier. Yes, she is easier than you, and this is a moment in my life when I just want that. I got tired of you playing hard to get. You are just too complicated, with your inner conflicts and your multiple personality disorder trying to be everything to everyone. You just can’t please everybody you know?
Debian: I will always have a place in my heart for you, but I’m with Ubuntu now and we are very happy together. Please stop attacking her. It’s your fault, not hers.
Love.
Gustavo Picon - tungsai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25Hey, that's just how things work in these open relationships.

- ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13For me, it's many times her sister.
- Phocion55, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15....and then the guy goes around shouting 24/7 that he has the greatest new girlfriend in the world and doesn't care what anyone else thinks and coveres his ears aand goes "lalalalala" when you try to point out an obvious flaw in her.
Most think she's overrated anyway and just want the guy to shut up. - CharlesDarwin, on 10/12/2007, -7/+19I wish your mothers had swallowed all of you!
- input, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14Nice title.
- tabo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Site is back again. The cache in wordpress was disabled. Mysql was fried. And no, the server is _not_ running Ubuntu, it's running FreeBSD.
- GMorgan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I already have ;).
- GMorgan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It's the best way to use them. Why spend hours hammering away at a single new system when you can make 100 VM's for different tasks and just copy them into a machine when setup. Reduces days of admin loving to a few minutes.
So ensure you have a lot of simple, easy girls hanging around. When you get a new girl instead of wasting your time making her all that you want just get enough simple girls in to cover her flaws and have a good multiple VM orgy. - Tazmaster, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10Don't tell Hugo Chavez...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Damn it, I only dugg this because of the title... lying bastards. I got all excited and everything.
- damentz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The problem with plain debian testing or unstable is that not many people have the patience to check if dist-upgrades are safe and decide what snapshots are the best ones to include in their own distribution (testing is supposed to be much safer than it used to be though from my experience). Knoppix and Kanotix are built on snapshots of debian unstable, and the old Mepis versions(3.x) were built on debian testing. Warren, the creator of Mepis, thought it was too unstable and moved to ubuntu repositories.
However, I personally think its Warren's fault, he decided to release new cd's that were actually out of date for compatibility and the first thing a debian addict does when he install's his new distro is dist-upgrade to newest packages, thus, borking the distro. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4How about a threesome ? love is about sharing.
- sdcarter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I want my click back. This isn't The Jerry Springer Show - Nerds Gone Wild.
- V1ncent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It was short yet funny.
- tabo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I was not trying to recruit anybody. In fact, just some days ago I gave a debian talk in a debian event: http://www.debianperu.org/node/270
I am not trying to recruit, convince or brainwash anybody. If you want to use debian, ubuntu, fedora, mandriva, freebsd, osx, vista, etc. fine by me. - Gryffydd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Dude, that joke is SO 1990's.
- jon1012, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Bwah, I would prefer going to bed with both her and her daughter... at the same time. ;-)
- kodek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Kubuntu would be Ubuntu's brother. I would not sleep with him.
- tropican8, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm not a shallow, superficial person. Ubu might be sexy and easy, but there's nothing more. Debi's got personality. Plus she doesn't tell me what she wants to wear -- I tell her.
- kodek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm sorry, but your analogy didn't make much sense :-)
Agree with you, though. - brianmost, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5What's with Ubuntu users constantly trying to recruit/turn/convert/whatever Debian users? Ubuntu relies on Debian having a good population of Debian developers and folks using Debian/testing in order for Ubuntu to seed its own releases. Where's the benefit in reducing that population? It's self-defeating and annoying.
Yes, everyone + dog knows you have a nice installer and more restricted set of packages. Thank you. Move along. - inkyblue2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3the linuces i use most frequently are stripped-down, customized, embedded versions. the metaphorical implications of this are too troubling to pursue any further.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hee hee, is funny....
I'm still stickin with good ol Deb though; you just can't beat her flexibility. - dtfinch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2If we want to start calling them a family, it'd be a highly incestuous one. Ubuntu's sister MEPIS is now her daughter.
- natorator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There's only one thing keeping me from installing Ubuntu on any system: My Debian unstable systems just never need a reinstall.
If I ever get a new computer, yeah - it's going on for sure. - radu79, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7It still smells like sulphur..
- clickwir, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3What if you dualboot Kubuntu and XP? Would that be like having the daughter and the MILF down the street at seperate times?
- rasputnik, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I think it's more about attracting windows evacuees who are trying to choose between redhat or a debian based distro.
Exposing noobs to Debian politics is not a good idea for any linux advocate. - tommycai, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1i like habitats comments he knows whats going on here in this world he or she has got it figured out hahaha just kidding i'm messing with you in fact it's a type of writing that was devloped in the late 17th century in england where some of the common folk wrote to the king about how they would kill off their children and just eat them to stop the hunger I forgot the name of it, or you could say metaphoricol writing not sure if I spelled that right. what uburtnx or whatever hahaha just kidding again later folks.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3I disagree wholeheartedly. Ubuntu is the fat slow bloated version of Debian if anything. Debian may take a bit more time to get to know intimatly but good things come to those who wait right? instead of just jumping into the pants of the first fat girl to let you in?
- crilen007, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3That guy has no "real" sex life.
Wonder if he rubs the start menu in circular motions. - noamsml, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1That sounds kind of sick.
- habitat2050, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3why do people take their operating systems so seriously
- thegreyfox, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3el diablo was here?
- BobMysterioso, on 10/12/2007, -11/+1You red down thumb clicking monsters! See.. it died.
But h4rdcor3 - thats a hardcore name too.. how witty - he had a corollary to my prediction. Clearly, we read the how to make a proof digg. clearly. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -15/+5100 diggs and its down
- h4rdcor3, on 10/12/2007, -13/+1but it's not in the main header so it won't gain as fast
- damentz, on 10/12/2007, -20/+8No but the pedophiles will digg it.
- habitat2050, on 10/12/2007, -22/+8This guy couldnt get a real girl so he materailized his OS into a girl through a metaphorical letter...and the fact the people are diggin this shows that mankind is truely on its way out
- BobMysterioso, on 10/12/2007, -39/+18This had the magic word Ubuntu in it. My prediction:
Diggs go high
Site go down

What is Digg?
