- schestowitz, on 10/18/2007, -2/+3That's some impressive program which, judging by the screenshot, has a lot of the functionality that's found in the proprietary (and expensive) software, which usually has Linux ports anyway. There aren't many niche products like these which are open source... Blender 3D probably being one among the few exceptions.

Surely proprietary software (the linux ports which a student/lecturer can't afford to buy) do/might have the same functionality because this is how layouts or schematics are done.
However FEL proposes a quick and easy deployment of the simulation platform with open source software.
