  • PrettyBoyFloyd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, you can do this with Knoppix (http://www.knoppix.de), as well as Bart's PE builder (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder). Both are free, but minimal. If you need more powerful tools, there is also the Winternals Admin Pack (http://www.winternals.com).

    "Problem: You have forgot password of Windows NT/2000/XP user/administrator.

    Solution without EBCD: author does not know any acceptable solution.

    Solution with EBCD: Using this disk, you may create special mini-version of Linux, which can change password for any user. Surely, you does not need to know the old password. Also, you may edit Windows registry using it."

    Ive added system recue cd (http://www.sysresccd.org/) to my cd... So i now have like 5 different utils in one. Gonna add knoppix + windows, and make it a dvd....

    It may be basic, but it sure is flexible

    It allows you to customize it alot, comes with nice free utils, you can add your own (The password reset doesnt work on XP Pro, or Home SP2. Also maybe 200OPro no work, so i downloaded a disk image, and added it, so i can reset passwords properly.

    Also, it has a bunch of easy to add things built in, such as support for partition magic 6 - 8.
