- mathmanjeffy, on 11/12/2007, -8/+288It's not rape if its consensual.
- chris9902, on 11/14/2007, -49/+222That would be great if Firefox didn't rape your machine when you have more than 5 tabs open.
- muniak, on 11/14/2007, -4/+136I would rather it just ran faster :(
- spyrochaete, on 11/12/2007, -1/+89FF doesn't really consume much CPU. Memory, however...
- n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 11/12/2007, -7/+67It's not rape, it's surprise sex. :D SURPRISE!
- mathmanjeffy, on 11/11/2007, -4/+59You do know about porn, right?
- DrFriendly, on 11/11/2007, -52/+101Opera allready does this, so it's not exactley news...
- an0n1m0us, on 11/11/2007, -3/+49am I the only person cerfing the web that doesn't forget what tabs are open and constantly have some desperate need to install several tools to help me remember?
favicons make a huge difference already
if you cant remember what tabs you have open, you've probably got too many open anyway - blackwhale88, on 11/11/2007, -4/+44its obviously alot less expensive than yours..
- Ramble, on 11/11/2007, -11/+50It's faster and has lower memory usage than any major browser.
- fatas, on 11/11/2007, -1/+39here is the link to the extension
http://en.design-noir.de/mozilla/ctrl-tab/ - BarriedaleNick, on 11/11/2007, -20/+56Got more than ten tabs open now - CPU at less than 10% - what sort of PC are you using!
- spyrochaete, on 11/11/2007, -2/+38Don't you know? Every time you click the Digg button it automatically uploads a 1GB video file of Kevin Rose congratulating the website. This website must only have 36GB of storage.
- oojamaflip2006, on 11/11/2007, -5/+39You do know about the close button right?
- fkr3, on 11/11/2007, -26/+60It's a bit overdue isn't it? Vista's had it for ages with applications in the taskbar, Opera has had it for ages, even IE7 took tabbed browsing a lot further than the FF guys bothered to explore.
- luchid, on 11/11/2007, -0/+29Oh god, my computer cries if I try to open more than 5 tabs of Digg. Specially if the stories are popular and have tons of comments.
- ahvi, on 11/11/2007, -2/+28Just because something has a hell of a lot of features doesn't mean that it's bloated. As ramble pointed out, even with all the extra features included, Opera is faster and has lower memory usage than any other major browser.
- kholburn, on 11/11/2007, -2/+27"cerfing" the web? Not a very con-Vincing spelling.
- zwaldowski, on 11/11/2007, -0/+24Are they 5 tabs of Digg?
- AussieFox, on 11/11/2007, -4/+25Uh, I often run 20->40 tabs on my computer.
Might be time for that upgrade. - nendoke, on 11/11/2007, -1/+21Mirror:

- Monk22, on 11/11/2007, -1/+19have you gotten the script error yet?
- EvaMonkey01, on 11/11/2007, -21/+39It is if you don't use Opera.
As a FireFox user for the last few years, I declare this news to be... 'Nifty' - shakin, on 11/11/2007, -2/+20I like the way Opera shows you a preview when you mouseover a tab. I'm not a big Opera fan, either, but that particular feature is nice.
- luchid, on 11/11/2007, -2/+19No.
- zelzin, on 11/11/2007, -0/+160.9.2
- osbjmg, on 11/12/2007, -8/+24I dugg him down for actually typing "Hmmmm" That's just annoying.
- Dan2552, on 11/10/2007, -0/+15I thought the point of Firefox was to reduce the bloat and UI eye candy? This is as useless as is aero-flip-3D compared to alt+tab.
- slayernine, on 11/11/2007, -0/+14CPU usage isn't where FireFox gets you, its the humongous ram usage when you have 10-50 tabs open. On the contrary do most users open that many tabs, no. Average Digg user, probably.
- darkamster07, on 11/11/2007, -4/+17god, why is opera still so unpopular? I love it, and I have tried every browser out there
- EnderMB, on 11/11/2007, -9/+22In all honesty I couldn't give a ***** whether it was on Opera first or not. I can't really see it being a killer feature or a function to make users want one browser over another.
- scotticus, on 11/12/2007, -4/+17and I dugg you down for typing "wats"
- ConceptJunkie, on 11/12/2007, -1/+13Well there's your first problem. You're using Firefox and seeing advertsing. Advertising? What's that?
- Toupee, on 11/11/2007, -0/+12Firefox 3 DOES run faster. I've been using the "Beta 1" build that was "Released" the other day... Digg comments pages actually load without murdering your machine now!
- DivisibleByZero, on 11/12/2007, -0/+12What's the obsession with "previewing" web pages anyhow? does the title bar not tell you sufficient information to know which tab is which? Does a preview somehow cut back on the overhead of downloading and rendering the page? Where's the gain?
- Rykin, on 11/10/2007, -2/+13What I like is the fact that if you said "Firefox always does this" to an article about Opera people wholeheartedly agree, but since it's the opposite way around you don't get props for pointing that out.
- MrSpontaneous, on 11/11/2007, -2/+12no, this is actually useful.
- diggSJaustin, on 11/11/2007, -0/+10Wish I could click that green thumb 100 times.
- srgtTarantula, on 11/11/2007, -2/+12And I dugg you down because I do what I want!
- justinjstark, on 11/11/2007, -0/+10I couldn't agree more. Leave the thumbnail previews as an extension so the rest of us don't have to deal with the bloat.
- irgeorge, on 11/11/2007, -1/+11The idea that OS X is bloated with eye candy is just a myth that has lived on from it's release, when compared to Windows 98 at the time many considered it's visual effects superfluous.
If you actually took the time to check out OS X now, it doesn't really seem all that overblown or unnecessary, in fact I think it looks fairly bland and certainly doesn't hog resources with it's understated use of animation etc. - lcarsdeveloper, on 11/11/2007, -0/+9I'm so glad that you're here, I've been meaning to ask one of you people where you buy those cool tinfoil hats from? I've got a costume party coming up and I'm planning to go as a no-life conspiracy nut.
- KibibyteBrain, on 11/11/2007, -1/+9Still, its good to have this integrated: will improve overall memory and program performance of the app quite a bit. Extensions are good for adding features on, but if everyone wants them, integrating them into the program is always quite a bit more elegant, stable, and efficient. Most problems with firefox installs stem from over-extension.
- Sacrifice, on 11/11/2007, -0/+8I also agree. I would never use this feature, I never have a problem knowing what page is on a tab. I don't need a thumbnail or each page I have open.
- mRIpX, on 11/11/2007, -0/+8who cares that you're using safari?
- Zero2aHero, on 11/10/2007, -0/+8Well the problem for the average digg user is not that they will have 10 - 50 sites open. The problem is that a couple of those sites open will be DIGG, and digg can kill any browser.
- n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 11/12/2007, -2/+9because the porn pop ups open in new tabs now
- ferrija1, on 11/11/2007, -8/+15Cover Flow tabs anyone?
- ubergeek09, on 11/11/2007, -0/+7Haha, look at all the people who are burying your comment that is so lame. I mean I know someone who has a laptop with 256 MBs of RAM, and a 700 MHz CPU and he runs Firefox FINE.
