Are your Firefox extensions proprietary software?

commandline.org.uk — Not a lot of people know this, but a lot of the extensions available through Firefox are not free/open source software at all. One example is the StumbleUpon Extension. If you want the most free software computer possible, look up the licences of your extensions.

  • weizbox, on 06/02/2008, -0/+1Why not just check out the homepage of the addons your getting before using them? Or even maybe just a Google search if your that concerned about it? I don't think this is something the Mozilla guys should have to worry about as the point of extensions and addons is to have third-party development.
