- WickedOwl, on 01/04/2008, -1/+25Good, because paying more for a book about your OS than you paid for the OS itself just seems wrong.
- Thugacation, on 01/04/2008, -0/+15Linux users don't need any of those books. A countless number of books for Windows have been published. Does it mean a Windows user can't be productive without them?
- schestowitz, on 01/04/2008, -4/+17Here's one for the lazy (very handy!): http://www.edocr.com/tags/cheat-sheet
- Chicken001, on 01/04/2008, -1/+11I don't know if it's just me but every single Apple Computer I look at looks the same, and the title bars on every window are ugly.
- jamesatdigg, on 01/04/2008, -8/+17here is ubuntu specific ebooks http://www.ubuntugeek.com/free-ubuntu-linux-e-book ...
- elfn, on 01/04/2008, -2/+10I hate this focus on quantity over quality? If you get a few comprehensive and readable books, you don't need 68.
- Chicken001, on 01/04/2008, -0/+7I don't know why you're being dugg down (Thugacation). Simply, every software that is highly used have guide books on how to use them, even OSX. It doesn't say that it's inferior, just more complex than the average mind can understand. Linux is already easy, it's just the user has to adapt to the environment, which I'm guessing you haven't yet (Mohdoo).
- ZxEfR, on 01/04/2008, -0/+6And you use Windows

Wow, you're dumb. - Artemis3, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1They always miss the oh so simple method of a static compile.

- bowens44, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1What makes you think Linux users need all those books? Do you realize that there are many more books for Windows then for Linux?
- payrok, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1does anyone know of a free e-book on glade development?
- technoredneck, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1Me three! But I paid $25 for mine. I got it used from Amazon (I think--been too long to remember for sure). It's an excellent resource, essentially a bible of all that is Linux.
- zeejay, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1Regardless, it's still good karma to contribute money into the ecosystem, whether it's buying a book, paying the fee for shareware, or just donating. Especially if you benefit financially from your use of the tools.
- jellygraph, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1ya, and OSX is making a difference in the world... *sarcasm* have fun on your small island
- technoredneck, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1Crackers, spics, chinks, and ***** use Linux too.
- ussoldier, on 01/04/2008, -1/+1Dug down for not linking directly to the downloadable ebooks in PDF form. For anyone who wants to download all these books, this list is a waste of time.
- shahidsidd, on 02/09/2008, -0/+0Ya for more books you can also download them fro free from http://ebooks.mzwriter.com/
- sanjeewamad, on 11/10/2008, -0/+0So many things...but it is not easy to find...not user friendly at all..
- Mohdoo, on 01/04/2008, -4/+4I think it's funny how this guy is getting burried for just being realllly bad at the internet.
- Midnitte, on 01/05/2008, -0/+0Still got to love those commercials for a "free" CD on how to use Windows by that bald guy. "PLEASE TRY MY PRODUCT."

- demonhunter7, on 01/04/2008, -8/+2when open the web page I get this error... "This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota"
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -10/+3Linux users dont read ebooks. Too much of a hassle to get the reader installed.... after installing library x...which relies on library y...which relies on library z...and naturally, you have none of em... Oh wait.. you do have y, but its version 2, when it supposed to be version 8 which only works with W, and W and Z dont work toget...oh hell with it...
- junkieSaysNO, on 01/04/2008, -8/+1ai-ya! wtf mate? down after only 70 diggs??????
- Mohdoo, on 01/04/2008, -16/+6Now if only Linux didn't NEED all those e-books. I think a true sign that Linux is doing well will be when those books are less necessary.
- beanage, on 01/04/2008, -11/+0oooooooohhhhhhhhh zing! I'll bet your quick wit really gets the chicks wet.
- leontes, on 01/04/2008, -18/+468 books I will never read. Honestly, I'm one of those people who would be interested by linux: I enjoy customization, i enjoy the ideals and momentum of open source software; I like user driven communities that develop better and nicer tools for fellow people. I think I'd enjoy making linux work for me: relish in it.
But I found OS X. And it's just too damn nice. I'm not looking back. - beanage, on 01/04/2008, -30/+0***** use Linux
