- shawnmcdonald, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow!! This guide worked like a charm. I have a notebook with the infamous Radeon Xpress 200M and this solved all the issues I've been dealing with. WELL DONE!
- Speff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's not hard at all if you compare it to all the other Beryl guides.
- B-o-K, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Never thought this was possible on my ATI Radeon 9600 (256MB RAM)... Thanks!
- whitetrash, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I can also confirm this is working on Fiesty (7.04) with the 200m (had to make a few modifications suggested in the comments) but I'm now up and running with full Beryl + XGL support (and I got my shutdown and re-start buttons back!)
Excellent guide. - Speff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For Nvidia cards, you can just install the regular drivers (I did it with Automatix), and skip the xorg-driver-fglrx driver install. When you get to the step where you have to edit the 'ati' part in the Xorg.conf file, just change it to 'nvidia' instead.
Awesome guide btw, helped alot. - Blisshead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this guide rocked my face off. I'm sitting here like a monkey on crack spinning my desktop around. Well done sir! Well done.
- tuxuser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1is there an easier way?>
- JJMacey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great guide, and How To.
I'm not there yet with Beryl on my Compaq Presario V5000Z running the AMD Thurion 2.2 GHz chip, the (in)famous ATI Radeon XPress 200M card, and Ubuntu EDGY 64-Bit.
However, great learning experience from a dedicated Linux user, and my many thanks to the Author here.
