IE is body armor and Firefox a trendy cotton vest? Man, I don't know about that.
I think the author is a bit confused. - fusionring, on 10/11/2007, -13/+89#21 - The dancing baby will never die.

- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5421. Somebody's lame ass blog >= The New York Times in the esteem of digglings.
- OregonTrail, on 10/11/2007, -3/+53Yeah I wasn't sure which he was applying to which.
Firefox is a hell of a lot more armor like than IE, and IE's not exactly trendy, or cottony... - philz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4822. People don't use categories correctly and stories like this end up in linux/unix.
- funkytommyman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+48"NSFW" is just a synonym for "click on it"

- wastern, on 10/11/2007, -3/+45I use "Interweb" all the time to make fun of those that don't know what the World Wide Web is.
- MoFoKeR, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4326. The internet is a series of tubes.
27. When those tubes get full of internets your email will be a day late. - Murdats, on 10/11/2007, -1/+37no, it was geocities, then that cesspool died, then the next generation of noobs turned up and said hey, wouldnt it be great if even morons could make a webpage?
and thus myspace was born
its like geocities, just blogging has been invented - drewxhawaii, on 10/11/2007, -5/+40of all the stupid, pointless lists compiled and then submitted to digg, that was the worst. by far.
- paulmdx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+35I thought that, then I realised there wasn't a 'Pointless Crap' category so I let him off..
- TonySki, on 10/11/2007, -2/+35that would be number 34

Sorry but that list sounds so contrived.. - Kevinbo03, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18#532 - If it's not porn; Porn is no more then 5 links away.
- alexforcefive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18If I had made this list, "some things can never be un-seen" would be number one
- Hindu_Wardrobe, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19Yeah. The author must not know of *chan. :)
- CCoe, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17#10. The difference between web surfing with IE and Firefox is the difference between body armor and a trendy cotton vest.
If you follow his logic here - he's calling IE the Body Armour and insulting Firefox's security. - bg2500, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14"Anyone who uses the term 'Interweb' has never been online."
AOL users? - c0ntagi0us, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17with the exception of 'At some point, Google became a verb.'
this list isn't humorous in the slightest
buried for being lame - Murdats, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14I dont think he meant in that order.
and his comparison isnt meaning style
its like being in a battle wearing armour or the trendy coat, sure you may look good but its not going to help you much.
basically firefox=good, IE=poor
isnt this incredibly obvious to everyone? - guitarromantic, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13"# Some else already said it first. But that doesn't mean it won't be said again, and again..."
...
"# There's always something new."
uh.. - Zoshchenko, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12As this clever author has proved:
Nobodie on the interweb nows howto spell. - MadMastaZ, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12#22: Porn takes up over 50% of the internet.
- Foamator, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11Exactly. It's only ever used as a joke at people who don't know the difference between the Internet and WWW.
The blog author probably just figured out that they were different, and is saying it to be "hip". - Silentnite85, on 10/11/2007, -10/+19What's wrong with the word Interweb? I still shout it out in vent during raids in wow. "I RULE TEH INTERWEBS!"
- bioskope, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10#77 Its fun to see idiots continue to make fools of themselves.
- mingthepanda, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9I came on to see if anyone else noticed this. If his analogy is 'correct' in his mind, I think he has a bit more to learn about the internet after all.
- h3xZ, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10wtf?....
- JiMiThInG, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9I found a few of the things on the list worth a grin. But I guess I'm easy. Dugg.
- aywwts4, on 10/11/2007, -12/+18(if the jokes were actually funny I wouldn't have posted this, but since it was very dry and boring, I think it sounds somewhat serious, so I think its safe to pick it apart)
Explaining the internet to someone with an open mind is quite easy, My grandmother has never been online, (using the mouse is a bit tough for her) but she knows whats there, what you can find, and asks people to look stuff up and print stuff out for her.
Admittedly when you explain it you have to be a bit more... Idealistic "its a vast network where everyone, anywhere, America, england, japan, africa, etc etc, can meet, share ideas, stories, recipes, health information, talk to each other, send mail, send pictures, send videos, listen to music, read the news, check the weather, watch TV. Everything on the internet was created by another user or group of users, its like a giant bulletin board that anyone can see, instantly, if you wanted to post your chili reception online, you could, and anyone who wanted to could see it and print it off, and leave a comment saying what they thought of it."
And with that (very grandma centric explanation of the internet) my grandmother now has a pretty good idea whats on the internet, and asks me to look things up, print off recipes, and look on Web MD for information. I know its a tongue and cheek joke list, but really, anyone who cant explain it to a layman with an open mind, is probably just bad at explaining. - nathanwalker, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8"Anyone who uses the term 'Interweb' has never been online."
This guy needs to get online more. I use it all the time ha. - Barryke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Unseen?
