- corevette, on 10/11/2007, -9/+64these sites/lists are nothing new....
but since kevin rose dugg it...it's bound to hit the front - MISDIREK7ED, on 10/11/2007, -6/+31Wait.. so people actually use the "who dugg it.." button?
- RobynG7, on 10/11/2007, -4/+29You're trashing Kevin, and yet you have him on your friends list? Hmm, I smell hypocrisy...
- cyberdork33, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13A mind mapper is a brainstorming tool. It helps you organize your thoughts. Freemind is a pretty good program. I would say that Mind Manager from Mindjet is the most popular version, though not free.
- degoba, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13I wish the snorg tees girl was open source. I would compile her any day. over and over and over and over.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10there should be a "who burried it" button.
- hfactor, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10So who´s lame?

Who gives a ***** who diggs the stories? You should digg them because you want to, not because some person you like did it before you... - evilregis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Exaile! is a great Amarok alternative for those using Gnome.
I wish I could find a current open-source English-Spanish dictionary... - Sparkster185, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5"I dugg since Kev did a dugg".
What a tool. - munzer321, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5100 is not too many! Hats off to the people who develop these software solutions, and rather than trying to make a quick buck, keep their licenses open, so everyone can benefit. I hope more developers take inspiration from these great programs.
- DangerCollie, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I'm surprised Tiddlywiki wasn't included in the wiki options. http://tiddlywiki.com/
It takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of how it works it's an amazing tool for organizing small snippets of information. I use it for development, project management, script writing and contacts. Many uses. Nifty little tool...once you get the hang of it. - tackle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4No, Who is not lame. He is blind.
- specialK16, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4***** the ***** article???
- Hellmark, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Seems to be lacking a bit, I think. Misses out on some big things. In databases, doesn't even mention MySQL. Mentions zero graphics apps (so no GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, etc). For video players, it links and refers to only the OSX port of Mplayer. On 3d tools, no mention of Blender or many other good tools. Zlib is the only compression "utility" mentioned, despite it is not a utility, but rather just a library, which is useless to the end user by itself. Doesn't make a distinction between Vuze and Azureus (instead, blurs and confuses things). Only mentions one window manager. I could keep going on. Rather than doing a half assed job on some catergories, to keep it at a 100, why not just forgo the neglected catergories?
Still, nice to see some OSS goodness. - Sparkster185, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Wine Is Not an Emulator.
- kingfoot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3no, they add kevin as a friend and see his banner across which diggs he dugg...
- mayhemt, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5I believe for Bulletin board Vanilla is pretty cool..(ajaxy, tons of plugins & themes)... http://www.lussumo.com/
- rotten777, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Wow I just tried it out. Works very well. Thanks for the tip! :)
- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3We saw you the first time, thanks.
- Dantheflipman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I find it funny that W.I.N.E is under the emulators section
good article, i found some some useful stuff
+1 digg - Bonekhan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2He probably just goes into Kevin's profile and tracks what he diggs. It wouldn't be surprising if Digg attracted trolls.
- quietcore, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2there are far better lists of open source downloads out there.
for example: http://www.digitaldarknet.net/thelist/index.php?page=windows - Azcobain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Buried for multi-page list.
- Yuo122986, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2anybody else feel like they just looked over the ubuntu synaptic package manager just now?
- tackle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2porqué ?
- suprchunk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Way to list phpMyAdmin, but totally leave off the database it uses. Also a lot of other utilities that were written with mysql in mind. LAME
- inkubux, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2no love for filezilla ?
- iEnigma, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Wow, when I clicked to go here it was at 1337 diggs. This must be some list!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I guess for people like you who work and McD's it might be worthless and hard to use.
I've been using MindJet's version for years. - fak3r, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Mind Map software is a really annoying project manager software; all of their ideas and concepts are mapped out, then yours our in relation to theirs, throughout the team. You end up with this webby looking flowchart that ends up being a glorified TODO list. At first it looks interesting, but give it time.
- JrGhoull, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i think alot of people just digg articles automatically after they reach a certain point
- Veretax, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1yeah this is a dupe from a few months ago :/
- tacotruck08, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i saw nothing about open office in there...
- optigon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2"This 3D modeler and animation tool allows users to read, display, and perform low-level editing tasks on VRML97 files. VRML97, which stands for "Virtual Reality Modeling Language," is the current industry standard for displaying 3D animations on the Web. Operating system: Windows, Linux/Unix, OS X. "
haha! Wow, this isn't outdated. :P Not that there's such a thing as Flash. - fak3r, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1McD's? Na, I've worked in IT for over 10 years. Admittedly the place I worked at where they (tried to) implement this was a big corpy-corp company that was very middle management focused so perhaps that was the issue. I'm going to try MindJet today - perhaps it'll suit me better - it's been over a years since I played with any mindmap software. Thanks for your comment. For the record I did work in kitchen help at a local restaurant, but that was some 20 yrs back...
- deadlikeoscar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I know it is currently Linux only but no Deluge?
- cquinnd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1When I clicked it had 1394, this digg is on fire(wire)!
- gotchaduke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1god site

- Sparkster185, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I use Amarok in Gnome just fine.
- andshewas, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Look, I like Kevin Rose, too...but I can't understand why all you stalkers give a ***** about what he diggs.
"Dugg because Kevin Rose dugg it"
Seriously? That's not what digg is about. - SoloMalee, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2You can always support by writing documentation and providing test feedback. You don't need to strictly be a developer to help OSS
- Smokersroom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1***** you *****. It was sarcastic.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I thought we had something similar to this once before?
