internet explorer tab within firefox

addons.mozilla.org — this is a new firefox extension. to use it, just right click a link and choose "open this link in ie tab" you've now opened internet explorer in a tab of firefox! this is great for the occasional times when a page doesn't work correctly in firefox, downloading windows updates, or designing a web page- since you can easily see how your webpage displays in IE with just one click and then switch back to Firefox.

    Works great for me and it's a very good idea.

    That guy makes a decent point...It's not too dificult to just take a link that doesn't work in Firefox and paste it into IE. From the comments, it seems like it's crashy, too. I really wonder if the crashing might take MORE time than it would take to just open the link in IE if it's even an issue (which it rarely is).

  • dukem72, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I dugg because the idea is great but here is my perpetual problem.

    I use Mozilla as opposed to Firefox, the reason is that I like to have both browser and email application in one.

    So each time a cool plugin comes out I go to try and install it I get lucky sometimes and the things works or about 90% of the time it downloads, then tries to install and fails.

    The error is that the install script was not found.

    I've asked around and not one person has led me in the right direction, so what say you?
